I agree with OP’s thoughts, the yearlong dip causes disappointment in many investors especially the new comers of crypto. However, I think if you have strong faith in crypto, the dip will not influence your decision to stay and benefit in the long run.

Holding will be a bad choice only if you have chosen a wrong/shitcoin. Because, only such coins will not recover at any time soon. But, really all of us have learned very big lessons in 2018. But I'm not sure how many of us going to use those lessons for investing at least from here after.

Repeating same mistakes will not bring any changes in profit making with crypto investments. We must make use of the lessons they have learned, otherwise we just need to move on without any profits.

Investment in cryptocurrency is profitable when you are enough skilled on choosing the right coin. But, most of the people here are making profits by holding in long-term by choosing highly reputed coins alone.

We must read how people are doing when they are sharing their experience here so that we can learn them big lessons from their discussion to make use in our investment opportunity in real time. Your encounters though might seem not encouraging, but do you know that you are better of than the person that is just coming in, because of what you now know.

You are right , the main thing was that we are still part of cryptocurrencies for better and worst. Some  people  just could not accept the fact  during the bearest time because they are so afraid of losing their investments.

Perhaps this embedding process is not as long as I thought. Because the period 2013-2014, the market is still more difficult. And somewhere. with a man with 10k BTC just by the piece of cake. Do they really feel regret or comfort themselves. I have never lost faith and hope in crypto and the BTC will continue its miraculous process. Get ready for the new year.

For this year 2018, might not good for us who are investors of bitcoin. The market price goes down, we some have loss our profit or we can say that our income this year is not quite so good. But 2018 is near to come, it is the time for us to let go or move on and welcoming 2019 a prosperous income for us.

not the first one  for me but it is different than the previous one was.
