awhile back i got an email saying that my account email had been changed and if it was not me, then to click a link to lock my account, i did that but didnt end up following up until now because of life stuff, now im wanting to get back my account but im not sure who to talk to or how to go about doing so, any help is much appreiciated.

Transactions must be included in a block to be properly completed. When you send a transaction, it is broadcast to miners. Miners can then optionally include it in their next blocks. Miners will be more inclined to include your transaction if it has a higher transaction fee.

This is going to take a while, since account recovery is really slow… But there is hope: @theymos is changing the recovery procedure and it should be rolled-out soon, which should cut the waiting time a hell of a lot. Meantime, review @sncc’s [Guide] Bitcointalk account security to see the recovery procedure in depth.
