I am holding a lot of altcoin and really worry about legal regulations in the future, whether altcoin is a stock or not. I think Altcoin (Cryptocurrency) is a separate currency field and it is not a stock, because if it is viewed as a stock it will be very troublesome. What do you think about altcoin whether it is stock or not?

Security laws are basically to separate valuable tokens from the crowd in my own opinion
That’s why we have sto lately instead of icos

Either ways, crypto currency is a bigger bubble and laws won’t cast it aside
Just choose your path (hodl invest or sell) and enjoy participation

They will just be currencies and that will be for the ones who manage to survive given that there are so many scam altcoins out there, they will not be stocks but that will not mean that people are going to stop investing in them, as long as they remain volatile people are going to invest in the coin in a bid to try to get them a lot of profits

Wut? Let's be honest, if you own a token and cannot use it except to trade it and to make a quick buck, then by definition you own a security token.

STO is a good way to admit it and then start focus on protecting investors.

Cryptocurrency is never a stock and should never be viewed as one, because a stock commodity most time have a fixed and stable price but the cryptocurrency market can never get stock except the altcoins that give in to total regulations. So long as a coin remain decentralized it will always operate on the law of demands and supply to determine it price.

Some of the tokens and coins may aspire to be securities (which indeed changes their status from tax point of view). Majority of will probably stay currency-like assets with their implications on national tax systems.

That's why we have security and utility tokens. If you have a lot of utility tokens, worry less since it can't be regulated or not covered by SEC. I think this is also the reason why there are a lot of utility tokens out there, so it can't be questioned by SEC.
