I think there are plenty of users in Africa, but I don't see most of it as a place of innovation where technology flourishes. They have bigger issues to deal with.

I am an African and I can personally testify that many people has fully embraced Cryptocurrencies here but the fact is that we are mostly consumers and not producers if Cryptocurrencies and that is why you don't see much ICOs out of Africa.

What Are We Waiting for ? Are we still waiting for the future of crypto currency & Blockchain to come before we can start Adopting our own Crypto Currency & blockchain ? We have to move With the future? look at how Asians are taken the lead in Crypto  now ..

The countries of Africa are often developing countries, most of them are still very poor and have no access to technology compared to most other countries.

Most of Africa is not strong in development, and those countries that are able to work with the blockchain are not many!

You know there are Arab countries in North Africa and I think they have some activities too, also I remember I saw a couple of ICO coming from Nigeria or maybe even more, not knowing about something does not make it not exist, so there is definitely some activities there but ya these activities are minimal due to the limitation of technology there and it really needs to be increased.

I believe that the lack of activity in the use of blockchain technology in Africa is an insufficient level of education of the African countries. It will take one or two years and Africa will come closer to Europe and America. Approaching Asia is much longer. Depends on the activity of African governments.

Over the Past 9 years since Satoshi and his team introduce bitcoin and Blockchain Concept there are many challenge  due to government policies and  whole allot but Asian , European , Americans , Arabians they are  embracing it because they believe  its the future . 99.99%  of ICO are from Asia , America , Europe and Arab .  0.01 percent are from  Africa upon all there resources where  we need funds to manufacture still we are out of the Game ? Why Please tell me what you think !!

While we see many start up projects pivoting to Africa and building communities, many are still not educated about cryptocurrency there. I personally have an account where about 90% of friends and followers are from Africa (mostly from Kenya and Nigeria), and almost all of them have no idea what I am posting  Grin (I could be wrong in my assumption though).

Where did you get your data (.01) by the way?

There were developers attempting to create tokens by doing ICO in the past but then I think its been implanted in the brains of regular internet users that an African prince is behind it and is willing to send his funds to someone else bank account. If you think about it no one wants their investment sent to someone else bank account just because they don't have a kin meant to inherit it.

I think Africans also care a lot about crypto and blockchain technology but people in Africa is too poor so they still have to care about other things first instead of crypto or blockchain technology. How will they care about blockchain technology while they even don't have anything to eat or anything to wear?

in Africa there are many other problems that need to be solved and blockchain is not on the agenda of the everyday life.

In Africa the problem is with the people. Just look at all the minerals and resources that they have. Gold, Diamonds, Oil, they should be a wealthy continent but there is too much greed and corruption. Crypto can end corruption, so they won't embrace it

The simple reason for this lies in awareness and lack of technological development in the region. Africa has continued to struggle with modern day innovations and the blockchain technology isn't an exception. Also, the rigid nature of governments in the region has also been a bane to the adoption and utilization of the blockchain technology. This could continue for a long time unless people become aware of the usefulness of the technology prompting more interest and research ultimately leading to usage.

If you are willing to learn more about Africa, then you will know that Africa is in a difficult situation, full of hunger and war, and only people in peaceful areas can enjoy crypto and bring happiness.
You have a point there, besides what would people do if they can't even stay in their houses safe if there is a war? War could really destroy everything, it is better to stay away on that area or else suffer. Besides, it is not their choice why there is a war in their country. I guess crypto are for peaceful and uncorrupted country.

Is just because their locals isn't fully aware on this and they just ignored this opportunity and focus on the others.
Government participation also is big help but I've never saw any news regarding with their support into crypto. And we take consideration also with their life status in africa which could give a big hindrances to get far from online engagement.

Most of the Africa countries suffering a poverty, there are no good infrastructure that can support the crypto, we need internet and gadget to used crypto, and most of the people's there can't afford it, actually they want to embrace and adopt crypto, it's the situation that makes them unable to do so

Some countries are doing their best though just that Africans are mostly known to wait for the West to come up with regulations concerning new techs before they can also embrace it. I think the colonial era has been redesigned in that way and that's because African leaders don't take the necessary initiatives.

This is only a matter of time. I will come to Africans to embrace the blockchain and cryptocurrencies. At present, because Africa is very backward, only a very small number of people understand cryptocurrencies, so Africa cannot become the center of the world.

Although Africa has a large population, due to the influence of the war, their technology is not advanced, and the gap between the rich and the poor is very large.

I agree with this to an extent. But the world is changing fast and I see development happening soonest in Africa. I have heard how some Africa countries like South Africa, Nigeria as well as Egypt are embracing the Blockchain technology. So with time, this will be widespread across all countries in Africa.
