From hindsight, we can say that 2018 was a trying time for the cryptocurrency. From all-time high early in the year to a year low in December. We are now in a new year with predictable recovery from the lows of 2018.

End of the year means nothing on crypto market. It doesnt mean that if its the end of the year, a new era will begin. Its not the point where the market changes like accounting cycle or the earth's orbit. Market changes because of many aspects and i dont think January 1 is included on that. We can suffer more red for the next months but lets believe that it will go green after.

We dont know if its the buttom, we dont know what happen next year if its recovering or the more worst we experience in crypto. But still believe in crypto will rise up and back in to the track to be more stronger and productive in the market. Future can tell to us so let just find out.

Then the only one choice is cut loss your coins without thinking about how much loss you will get. But I don't think that it will be a good choice for you since you don't want to see your money reducing a lot. I am sure the market will recover shortly, and you need to patience for that. While as you said, you can do anything else to prevent your mind from thinking about the market every time.
I think if you can find the bottom of the price now, you can invest more so indirectly, you will lower your average buying price and when the price increase higher, you can see you lose will reduce too due to your average buy price also decreasing.
