I don't know why people want to reduce the supply.  If the reward had been 50 instead of 5,000, I think all the prices would have been 100x what they are now, but people would have 1/100 the number of MZC, and the net effect would be no change.

I try to be respectful and informed.

Reducing the supply via a hard fork now takes the pressure off of the coin's steadily declining price, so it has a chance to go up in response to positive developments in other areas. People that have stuck with the coin and continued to accumulate it despite the falling price are rewarded, and people that discover or invest in the coin down the line won't be put off by this schism between the community and the development team that has erupted thus far. We all want this coin to succeed for its ideals but we also would like to see that the community is being respected.

Well most of things is gonna be changed ... we are working on developers team for maza, we will fork mazacoin and stabilize price finally

Not sure If I'm reading this right but... how do you think this fork "will stabilize price" ?

I read before that some plan on reducing the coins and altering the distribution model.
It sounds more like what the fed is doing not what the free market dictates.

Rather than forking and spooning the coin , why not actively getting involved and promote the coin... or if that is not possible with Payu still in charge ... scalp him!

The main MZC problem is that it´s extremly mined out ( you can´t keep price high when miners always sell more you have) .... When you reduce supply / miners reward than we will stay higher without this problem

Only because there isn't enough demand.
If there was demand, price wouldn't fall.
This is hardly unique to MZC.

Forking a coin takes a very high level of dev skill.

Not sure how this will be accomplished when a simple block explorer can't be built.

Talking about a new launch and plans to revive a coin with so many problems and the one to lead is a student busy with his exams. This is going to fail so badly.

If AP forks now it will look like an even bigger scam.  He refused to fork and said he would never fork months ago, allowing the price to crash and him accumulate, so a fork now would be another PR disaster for the coin.

The coin is generating 3,600,000 coins per day. Roughly 80 million new coins this month alone.

Having the block explorer down for this long makes the output rate less noticable. But miners are holding buckets full at the moment.

So a group of users are forking away from mazacoin proper?  I don't know how that will work, and I would expect Payu to announce any new dev team not associated with AP, not some random "bagholder" who has complained in the past about losing money on Maza and is only looking to get the price up so he can dump his bag and get his BTC back.

Current block being 73431 with 5k per block means 367,155,000 in existence at this moment.

In my opinion, this would be a good time to get out until some coherent plan is devised and announced.

This coin could possibly make a comeback, but with a client that won't sync, a missing block explorer, a dev team apparently in chaos, and a block reward the size of the Atlantic, I suggest maintaining a view from the sidelines.

This should be considered a pump attempt until there is a statement from the development team.
