You should have eth in your wallet, when hard fork every eth will split depend their new system. But hard fork it doesn't mean will create new coin because hard fork means fix old system and replace new one, system not coin. So I think you should the news carefully and don't panic because some people use hard fork to swing or recovery asset. Understand hard fork and good luck to you.

Not all hard forks resulted to creating new coin. The Ethereum Constantinopole won't result to new coin, it's.simply an upgrade that will increase the transaction time in the ethereum blockchain. This is only one of the upcoming upgrades for 2019. This might trigger the ethereum price to go higher.

I don't think there will be a new coin, it's Ethereum 2.0 kind of, but I don't know for sure. Everyone needs more clarification on Constantinople, we all are waiting for it. It's a good thing it's helping to boost ETH price. Well, from the sneak peak, it will happen Q1 next year, probably January.

They said that it will be Ethereum 2.0, or the serenity, But I am also confused if it will be a new coin like bitcoin cash has done with 2 new coins, I guess the ethereum upgrade will just going to develop Eth itself not creating more coins in the future.

What? Ethereum 2.0 or serenity? From what i know, from this hardfork there will be new coin, which is called Bithereum. You can get it just by HOLD your ETH in wallet or exchange which support this hardfork before the block happened.

yeah, you are right.
if the increase in the time of transactions in ethereum blockchain gets better, this will bring investors more trust in ethereum and the effect of that is the price of ethereum will pump.

The problem is that some people don't understand that a hard fork doesn't mean the creation of a new coin (well, there is a new coin but it's ETH and not something like BCH etc.)

It's not that people don't understand (me included)... There are a lot of misleading articles online and for a newbie you don't know what to believe:)

I wish everytime there is coin will hardfork it will have an effect for the price too however recently i have do small research and eth will hardfork with bitcoin too which mean these coins will do hardfork at the same time and people who hold eth or bitcoin will get Bithereum as the hardfork results but i can't figure out how to claim new coin from those hardfork and this news maybe will not 100% valid and could be wrong

It's actually a hard fork which would immediately discard it's former branch as there are none in favor of continuing that.
This has already been done with Ethereum and would be done several more times to get the planned results.
No you won't be getting another coin.

A lot of things can happen in the crypto market come 2019, With high Market Volatility we can never tell or we can only speculate on what to become on Ethereum come 2019? But i don't think it will be a new coin to replaced Ethereum come 2019. Ethereum will remain in the market and regain the favorable market status in the future.

yeah, I have also prepared a long time about this ETH hardfork, and I already have some ETH, I don't expect much, at least the price goes up to 100 USD it's already better than dumb,

$100 increase seems to be pretty low. Without even the hard fork, last week ETH went up by $70 and was near to $100. So I think after the hard fork price would increase by more than $200.
These forks do really affect the market with such decrease in market caps after the event.

yes, I heard the news, even many argue that if ethereum will fork in January 2019 it will produce new coins! . but try to think that this is only an increase in the network!, so in hard work like that it will not produce new coins again.

I think the hardfork this time to produce a new coin has a small possibility, in my opinion this will be a renovation of the system on their platform, if there really is a new coin I am sure the distribution will be the same as BTC and BCH ie 1:1.

We all wait for the hardfork ethereum and hope that with hardfork it can add value to ethereum itself. We have been waiting for a lot of hardfor a long time, and hope that there will be a positive impact so this waiting is not in vain.

Ethereum is not fork purposely for new coin. Unlike bitcoin,.ethereum is focusing on improvement, scalability and better growth and efficiency of ethereum system. The new fork should fundermentally improve the use of ethereum platform and ethereum performance!

I don't think a hard fork will happen if there are is consensus that miners will upgrade to the new version.
A hard fork might cause another problem like what happened to BCH.
