55K loss, how to get back into the game

I wish I could increase my portfolio to 55 k on this negative market, but now it seems like impossible!

The OP is not the only one that this has happened to, many people have lost 90% of their portfolio. I even saw a tweet today about 1 guy who lost $1 million on bitcoin, i bet he is hurting really bad right about now

A lot of investors have already lost huge amount of their hard earned money in this crypto-currencies bear market, I believe a lot of investors might just choose to avoid investing into crypto-currencies again even if the values of bitcoin manage to hit $20,000 USD again in the future, as they might have totally lost the confidence in crypto-currencies already.

Im so sad of what happen to you. Not only you are losing money because there still some peolle who lose bigger than you already lose but the good to them they still believe to cryptocurrency to get again their money recover and I hope also you too is like them. Don't do anything stupid for now. Don't trade and buy coins anymore. You might have been caught in the hype during the 2017 bubble and I'm sure you didn't dump right away because you believed that the market will bounce back in 2018. Anyways, take it easy now. Just leave the $5K for now and see how 2019 will goes, just hope that this is a complete opposite so that you can recoup even half of it.

If you haven't sold anything that you have bought you haven't lost anything yet. I think you have bought cryptocurrency last bull-market, that's why you had a big loss. That's why some investors tell people not to invest in crypto out of fear of missing-out. The hype on crypto was too high last bull-market and market corrections are normal to happen after that.

If you will just use that $5k in a smart way like investing in some potential coins,  buy dump coins and do a long term trading, you can at least regain slowly your fund. I guess you never controlled your emotions, greed ate your whole being and did not set stop loss.

Loss is big, he could have reacted earlier. If he has taken some initiation earlier big loss could have been avoided. From my understanding he has gone for an investment without proper analysis about the project or the asset. Next thing after making an investment he has gone for targeted profiting which has lead him hold even when the market sliding continues and the same has caused the big loss.

You know what you’ve done wrong?that is investing in crypto without learning what market is all about

Crypto investing is most risky because of the volatility and decentralized so it means you must know this first

Never forget that as long as you are holding the volume of coins and tokens meanjng you are not losing anything because when the price bounced back you astill have a chance to gain or profit

Just hold you coins and wait for the next bull run, if its bitcoin you are holding then you will make profit in the years to come.

I think you need to hold them until again bull market starts, the only thing you need to check is whether you have invested in potential coin which has active developments will easily help to reach your previous earnings. But if you have invested in no real value coin will easily lead to zero value because there won't be any active developments from the team.

I wonder what coins you invested at that time because if those are shitcoins then that is only the time I consider you already loss. That's a huge amount and I hope you already recover your sleeping cycles because that's a hard recovery for anyone. I'm really curious if most of them are from ICOs or altcoins you bought from exchanges because if you added those details then we can recommend you something better.

It's not about his analysis but in fact he was joining in the wrong time. he was saying that he bought crypto when it has touched the peak price and remember the only best time to buy crypto when it gets bearish trend and that's it.

That's such a big a big amount! You should have sold assets when you saw downtrend is continuous. Hopefully btc value recovers this year. I too lost a few hundred dollars worth of altcoins because of the sudden drop of the crypto market but I'm still positive it will recover.

Huge price fall down but it's not going to be a mistake if you are still holding it now.
Not only you who experience that, many of us but some chooses to hold because they trust the market, and they believe it will recover.
You should anticipate it could happen, it's really risky when thing are very unpredictable here.

I suggest you to relax and calm down, market looks good recently.
