55K loss, how to get back into the game

Folks, what a terrible year 2018 has been so far. I invested around 60K and now left with 5K. I did terrible mistakes and I hope there would be a turnaround sometime next year or so. Any suggestions?

Most of the investors are like you, if you did right things don't think this was mistake, I trust to my portfolio and when our time comes we will get our money back, I have no doubt about this.

Most of the investors are like you, if you did right things don't think this was mistake, I trust to my portfolio and when our time comes we will get our money back, I have no doubt about this.

I am not agree with your opinion. Many investors know how to quit before it is too late. Financial knowledge let them to think and accept correct decisions so they are following smart money.

As a proposal, I can offer you to think about reinvesting the money that you have in projects with a smaller capitalization than the ones in which you invested earlier. I also had a similar situation, but i get out of it by reinvesting my money in the Etheera project. This is a Swiss project with a small capitalization, and investments in it helped me to recover some of my losses in a short time.

Sound advice haha. Seriously though don't get into debt. It's a lot worse than being broke, being broke and in debt. I've been there.

That's the worst advice that I ever seen. Don't add another problem if you caused it alone, another problem won't solve things and will make things lighter.

Act depending on how you will solve the issue and don't take loans just to take into the market again. You're just putting yourself in debt which will cause you bigger trouble in the future.

coins will rise and they will fall, but just look at the long term trend of that portfolio and you will see that it will recover. Just wait for bitcoin to rise and lift the market again, most likely after the bakkt is confirmed later this month

i think we can back in game in 2019, with STO s, and passive incomes.  but its not easy way, from 5 to 60 k, becouse its 1200%. its not impossible, but so hard to done.

I am not a very experimented trader but I have read about the subject, but if you study the subject you will see that once you lose 50% of your capital you will need to get 100% profits just to get your original investment, so the more money you lose the more difficult it is to recover it, so managing your capital and avoiding losses is critical, I will even say that is the most important part of becoming a successful trader and yet it is one of the issues that is most often ignored.

Sorry for your loss, but almost everyone in 2018 lost money in 2018, most if not all the coins and tokens dropped in value in 2018. I for one do not know if these coins are going to regain their value because a tokens that lose 90% of its value and have no working product, it is very hard to bet on te future of the project

A lot of us have experienced similar. Best thing is to not panic, and think about why you got into crypto in the first place. The reason I got in is because I could see how hugely transformative the tech can be, and what an exciting opportunity it was to get involved at this early stage (and it is still early). All it takes is some thinking about the next few years, maybe next decade, and crypto will be everywhere. Those losses at the moment will likely be more than reversed as the good coins hit new ATHs.

Don't lost hope as everything will be back to normal, just keep holding your token as those will worth higher once the market will recovers. I suggest you to buy those good quality coins while the prices are still affordable to get back your losses. I hope you had learn a lesson on your mistakes that will give you idea in dealing a right project to put your money. Invest only a little amount in the beginning and once you get a good result then increase your investment.

The OP is not the only one that this has happened to, many people have lost 90% of their portfolio. I even saw a tweet today about 1 guy who lost $1 million on bitcoin, i bet he is hurting really bad right about now

Well, for an invested participant this is true in absolute terms. If you are down more than 50% in 2018 than you can't lose more in 2019

Oh, damn poor you man, I don't know if I could handle 55k lost, I guess the only thing you could do is learn from your mistake and just hodl on your current portfolio. Even if you sell it and speculate on other coin it would be  harder to get your 55k back. Just hodl on your current coin is the best option.

Damn, $55K lost? That's huge baby!!! I don't know maybe I will take a break for a while and have a rest, sort of a reset. And maybe took that time to really figure out what went wrong and go back but this time try to be cautious, or better yet just stay away from the market because the conditions is getting worst. Just return at the start of the bull run so that at least you can recover some of the money you lost.
