I correctly understand that in a post to add a photo I have to send 50 messages to the forum? I read but could not find the answer to my question. Written in the signature but not in the post. Or do you need to earn 1 merit? Who knows, tell me.

You need to be a Junior member to be able to post pictures which you will need to gain 1 merit for (+ the required activity of course).

Alternatively, you could upgrade to Copper membership.

It's not only about the picture but it will allow you too to have a privilege like a member-rank for signatures.

Check the address in a block explorer. Does the transaction have at least 1 confirmation?
