Always something of a curiosity to read about all these guys. The market today is awash with talk of pioneers trying to disrupt this and revolutionise that, but it's really those guys that started experimenting that are the unsung pioneers. Read a few posts down from OP's link, the same guy dissing OP goes on to show some guy firing up diesel generators to mine Bitcoin. Doesn't sound like concerted manipulation from the few, if you ask me, just some guys trying something that ended up working.

Wonder where all these naysayers are now?

Probably in the same place they were back then: In their computer chairs, grinding the online poker tables and talking shit on the internet. People were building a new world and they just watched it go by.

Who knows, maybe some of them came around to their senses. Maybe some of them are members of this forum now.

Well if we can turn back time for sure that ridiculous price will become reversed reaction for sure,but we cant blame the person wayback because that time bitcoin only uses by some IT’s and not for all people so pricing a $70 cents is a huge amount for nothing.

This market is full of greedy people, some would be willing to give their fake prediction just to take advantage of the weak people, of course they do give false information as well. So, what are we going to do? We should be smart, rely on our own based on our research so we are convince in every action we make.

Only people who would be regretting would be those who dint know the concept of hold or are the ones who would never believed in this crypto currency concept and the coins. Rest of them who knew its future and know holding power would definitely are the ones who have become millionaire and some of them billionaire as well by now.

There are still people doing it today, they can't believe it asking what sort of things happen to people buying BTC when its all just a digital byte without value. You can go over to digitalpoint forum where webmasters stays but there are people there promoting btc as well.

Seriously if you had a time machine you could be a millionaire in 5 years starting with less than one hundred bucks. It's crazy to think about those gains I don't think any company (amazon, apple etc) would get anywhere close to those insane medium term increases.

Nobody expect that bitcoin will rise to $20k after 9 years of speculating. Yeah if we know that it will rise that way then it will goes panic to buy bitcoin at the beginning. Those early believers had got their rewards if they manage to sell it at the all time high and had been the millionaires of bitcoin.

As of right now haters right now are in their full spirits saying "I told you so" to us as it is the bear market. But once we get out of this it is their time to shut their mouths and eat their own words. The most important thing now is to not get affected by their words as these people tend to get the best of us which influence us to do bad decisions.

I find it even more funny when these no-coiners try to play the current prices down as something that's 'normal' to happen when it's bubbling up.  

You know that when people revert to such silly arguments that they are burning, and burning hard. The currency they tried to trash talk for years keeps going up, and there is no way to stop it. Peter Schiff started his trash talk against Bitcoin back when it was $100 and is still throwing around with nonsense arguments today, which is crazy.

If history has proven one thing, then it's the fact that he should keep his mouth shut. I'm certain that even when Bitcoin reaches $100,000 he will still call it a fraud and that it will drop to $0. Every year it doesn't drop to $0 the likeliness of it to happen decreases significantly. He should know that with his economics background.

lol...This has been what the naysayers have been ranting about for years now. They really are wishing for Bitcoin to go to zero so they can call ot a win on their side but they seem to forget that with every rise it comes with, people in the community grows and become stronger and I think the same thing is what we are experiencing. Recently, I read some articles saying that Bitcoin has died over 90 times in this year alone, but where are we, we're still here lol.

Well everything here is a cycle so I'm sure when down the line, if we go back we'll see the same sentiments and stupidity.

This is still very much an experiment. We are moving towards more professional world with ETF and SEC and all that but bitcoin is still nowhere near its full potential. We are dream of a world where bitcoin is used by everyone and is a common way of payment by all humans and makes it easy for banking in third world countries and allows people to connect with each other globally much easier than current system but we are not even remotely near that level.

In a world where everyone is connected by bitcoin and its low fee system it will be a lot bigger than this and of course price will be affected by it. 70 Cents people were calling it crazy because they didn't really expected bitcoin to increase and get attention to begin with, now that we know it got the attention it deserves we are now not sure if it will go any further or not.
