Never participated an ICO but I have tokens on hold and hoping that it will be big someday. I've earned this through my campaign before. Wow I wish that I'll win that 20 bucks giveaway. 

Good luck to your research and economic analysis, is this a requirement before you graduate on college? I see often that there are researches and polls coming out through the forum.

I voted for no, I haven't join an ICO because from what i've noticed a lot of them fail once they get traded and sometimes you'll see investors sharing their bad experiences on the ICO's they've joined before.

The closest thing I did was joining a bounty campaign to promote an ICO since it's another way to  get these tokens but without having to spend any money.. .

I invested only in 2 ICO's. I still didn't got profit from these investments, but I can't say that I regret that I bought these tokens. It's long term projects and I see their development is being done as planned just with little delays. But I'm certain that I will get profit from these tokens sooner or later.
But I stopped investing in ICO's because there are way too many scams. It takes too much time to make research about project. And even if it's legit project, there no guarantees that ICO will be sucessful or that you will get profit. Shortly, there too many risks and often too small returns after investment. So, I rather invest in established coins.

I invested in one ICO, last year I invested in an ICO, I followed the ICO thread, ICO was listed in an exchange, I was very happy because I was profitable. a month after ICO was listed on the exchange, I enter on the ICO thread and I see that the main Dev had disappeared with development fund and that they had not done anything they had promised, I went to see the price and the price had fallen a lot, so I sell for the same price that I bought, I lost my time following the ICO.

I only invested on 1 ICO, very promising at the beginning. I didn't dumped with coins was listed on an exchange but during the time they have given what I have invested it's a win-win situation for me. Until it suddenly deteriorated because the dev's didn't delivered what they promised. So I dumped everything in May-June take just the small lost and I'm glad I did because the tokens has lost so much value.

I invested only in one ICO and that was morw then enough for me. Some think this is the good way to make profit but I don't think so. There are too many of them and it's hard to estimate which one is legit or not because of too many scams.
The risk is too big, not just because of potential scam but because you can't never be sure if coin will be listed on exchange or not and how this is going to end. Thaf is why I avoid ICOs.

I think it is less then 10. I don’t really do ICOs, I focus more on trading cryptocurrency. But I have participated in about five or more ICOs and they haven’t paid yet. About two I’m very sure of, one will be paying this year on March and the other will be this month of January. I just hope they pay and not mess around with participants.

I have contributed financially to about 5-6 ICOs, but I have also participated as a supporter/bounty hunter in many other projects. However all the ICOs I have made an investment to are holding up nicely so I don't have any regrets so far.

Didn't even participated on any ICO even once. I didn't come to a point on pulling out money from my own pocket to invest any of these things since I do know

the tendency on losing money instead on gaining and we have seen for how many times.So,i told myself not to put up money no matter what and just like other posters said

above where there are still things that you can earn the token without the need of investment.It might be small but still a considerable thing to do if you are really serious to hold it up.

I participated in a large number of ICO projects. Many of them brought me a good profit, I still hold some tokens from some projects, and some of them sold partially. And I didn't regret a single project in which I invested.

I try not to think about the ICOs I participated in anymore. I wouldn't say I had regrets, because I joined them with a lot of time spent into researching and talking about the technology with the community discussions, so I learnt a lot more than I would ever have had if I wasn't interested in investing.

My expectations also were probably unrealistic. I know everyone who dumped money into any ICO in 2016 made x100 or more. I didn't even make x2 on any of my ICOs (counting price now and not ATH). I was a bit silly to hold everything even when I could have taken some profit to recover investments, but lessons learned from all that!

Then i tried joining two more but that time its really hard to participate because of the site being too congested because many people are participating
Sadly scammers took advantage of the trend and created fake projects and ICO

Don't bump threads which haven't been active on last 4 months yet this is considered necrobumping.If you don't like on possibly facing up ban problems then better
stop this thing on early.

Back to topic,ICO trend is over and now being replaced by IEO but still we cant avoid the fact that we are still prone to scams and pure manipulation.

but I can't say that I regret that I bought these tokens.

I have invested and I will say that it was a big regret for me doing that investment because I lost my money there. You buy at a very high price different from what it is priced in the market later. Again, some icos restrict you to make withdrawal once you have bought, they disable the withdrawal.

Where you can only deposit and have a restriction to withdrawal is a scam sign but how can you know when you don't deposit
