If marketing expenses don't have a positive return then it shouldn't be done at all. Funds should only be used if it would actually have a positive effect on value

using funds is really needed precision so that we avoid losses, because we also are not willing to lose funds just like that in the current situation, hopefully we are always more observant in terms of using our funds.

It is very important for a fresh project to invest a lot of money in marketing, because there are so much ICOs that are taking place at the moment and you should promote your project well to get mentioned by our community.

A marketing is a marketing, you don't have assurance if the results will be positive.

This is why you need to allocate a budget to it and just leave it there whether you see a positive or negative result. If its positive then you can continue and if its negative then you can decide to do more marketing or stop the cost of it.

You can't know beforehand if your marketing will be successful or not.

Better to focus on a good marketing campaign to have better chances for it to be successful, but even then nothing is assured

What do you think marketing is for? To try to increase awareness so that people will know and eventually buy the product which will, in turn, increase its value. Now, no one can guarantee a successful marketing campaign but there are people/companies that specializes on that.

it depends on why you are doing the "marketing" in first place.

as you said if it is only for "value" gain or if we  want to use the correct term "PUMP" then it is a very different story. you need to be capable of pumping the shitcoin in first place then attempt spending money for marketing it.
the problem is that most of the times people try to market "shit" and then expect people to buy it too! well that doesn't work and you are bound to lose money.

Weak hands have been complaining about missing out ever since bitcoin was $1 and never buy the dip.
Whales are those who keep buying the dip.

How effective your marketing depends on yourself, it's free for you to do that or not. But you don't even know the result if you don't even try to make marketing and you can't determine how the result will be.  Roll Eyes

no one can know before the starting of marketing will it bring results or not. you can only assume and based on the assumptions calculate the budget

You can't develop a product without marketing. Marketing isn't necessarily about spending large amounts, it's about creativity, it's about knowing the market and the customers. A wrong marketing campaign will not bring you the hoped-for results, but you can learn and improve your future actions. Lack of marketing will certainly not bring you anything.

Marketing expenses always have a positive effect. This is why the ad promises that the good will not be the worst. Perhaps you may not see this positive effect on earnings. You may be earning less every day. But maybe if you didn't do marketing, the company / project would be completely dead.

Only projects of meaningful value need to spend on marketing and just very little spending at that because if the product is good, investors will rush it and beg to participate in it. Obscure projects however need to depend heavily on a large marketing budget in order to reach out to investors

The marketing is an important thing. Because if anyone has a good product with the project, they can't reach the market without marketing. The important thing is project's owners need to use that marketing funds to right things. I have seen so many projects are using their funds to useless campaigns. The project's owners need to use funds for valuable campaigns.

This is also which become my question.

The question is, if you don't try it, how can you know it will have a positive and negative impact. Is not that everything based on analysis (in my opinion)

Please try first, if you already know the result, the choice there is 2 ; like that said above.
If its positive then you can continue and if its negative then you can decide to do more marketing or stop the cost of it.

Basically, every project or whatever will require a fee, including marketing also requires a fee. And we need to know that the key to the success of a project is marketing, which is the spearhead of mission and vision. The conclusion is to use and be more careful so as not to experience too much cost, but to produce what is expected.

Of course, it suppose to have positive effect if it is done in a right way, many project are wasting fund on ineffective marketing these days instead of using those funds for project development.

if you mean bounty campaign, it's hard to launch one without marketing funds, ICO's is so lucky because they can have their project promoted using I owed you token without a value yet, I have been to many campaign that gives me lost effort and time.

If marketing costs do not justify themselves, it only means that a bad marketing Director should be replaced by a more experienced person. Marketing is designed to make it work and attract public attention.

How would you know that it have a positive impact if you will not venture or try. Even in a feasibility study, you have to spend somehow.

If you are talking here of expenses in marketing an ICO then i think it is not so expensive if the team is going to pay their advertisers tokens generated from their smart contract.

Marketing activities should be performed as originally planned, even if it does not receive much return. Because there are always investors who are concerned about the project, they can't let them down.
