Do you mean that you cracked the wallet MyEtherWallet? Well, hackers will constantly attack him, because many there hold significant sums in tokens and ethereum. Although this wallet is very simple and reliable to use, almost any program can be hacked by another program. We need to take some security measures for the normal storage of our cryptocurrency.

I also saw nothing suspicious when I logged in with my three MEW wallets today...the same notification which we already know we are always getting when getting into the site. I am not sure what OP is referring to but anyway we should always be careful that we don't enter a phished site and there are now many ways we can detect this deception. As someone who had been a victim (two times, oh my) of phishing I know that kind of feeling when you are seeing your wallet emptied of the coins and tokens you hard worked for. No one can be more careful with many new ways that hackers and scammers are always improving on.

I think he might be a bit confused, because it is the Electrum wallet that are hacked and you will only lose funds if you install the false update that are presented with the link that pops up. I also checked my Etherwallet and I did not notice anything weird.  Roll Eyes

Just make sure you do not click on any suspicious links, because they use those links to redirect you to the site that are hacked. Let's spread the word that Electrum has been compromised and that you should be cautious.  Wink

there are so many notifications with links these days being sent to people especially on their mail. I always avoid such mails and just delete them. One has to be extremely careful with what he or she clicks these days

Ether Wallet is not just one, there are MetaMask, MyEtherWallet, Parity, Mist, Trezor, Ledger, Coinbase etc.
Which Ether Wallet do you mean?
Your concern should have been anticipated by everyone, no one is not careful when they want to use their respective wallets because everyone does not want to lose their money

I am also waiting for the confirmation from OP. I think he was referring to Electrum?, I hope so because if its MEW then we are doomed. That's two largely popular wallets for a small amount of timed hacked.

It is really advisable then to use hardware wallets. I would suggest everyone invest in them.

what do you mean is MEW? I have just checked and my token that has not been launched into the market exchange is still safe and my Eth balance is still intact. Everything is alright.

You should try to elaborate more on the notification on your post you have not clearly reveal what really transpires with your MEW  while clicking a notification, you should have stated the trick used by hackers in gaining access to your wallet so as to caution other users and prevent future occurrences.

Posting misinformation without any source should be tagged.

Etherwallet was didn't hacked, it's the electrum wallet where phishing link we're notified in the app. Anyway, there's already an update, people should only download from it's official source
