It would be a good idea to create your own side website which would serve you as a portfolio (after you'll successfully land some gigs) and a more professionally looking  resume. You will have more freedom to represent your skills and motivations on your own website.

There are many platforms for this but starting from the grass roots kind of leaves you disadvantaged as people are more likely to hire established members. So just make an attractive gig with good prices.

This is a great idea, with that you can also place some support of your experience, they can also be some diplomas or certificates that show the specific work you do. Apart you can place in a miniature version of the companies in which you have worked, as a guarantee of the work done and having more proof of proven experience.
