Would be interesting to have the opinion of some people from Japan or Singapore in this thread, or other countries that are very friendly to Bitcoin.

Right now in my country, I have used Bitcoin to deposit in Online Casinos, or Bookmakers to bet on sports.

The main advantage for me was to remain anonymous. But Bitcoin is not really anonymous but if you don't play with a big deposit, nobody will bother to look for the source of your funds.

Bitcoin will become very valuable if it can be used to buy more goods and services (cars, real estate, train tickets, etc). For now it is seen as a digital gold by most.

We cannot judge from now what's going to happen in the next ten years,and when you say cryptocurrencies,its the bitcoin and over 3k alts,i really doubt the future of a lot of cryptocurrencies
And I believe that in the next ten years,only a handful will still be around
But definitely the bitcoin is going to be more widely used,and the more people see it as a means of facilitating transactions and not simply hodling,then it's growth will be meteoric

Use case as a store of value and medium of exchange has been shown with bitcoin
Use case of decentralizing everything else is enabled with smart contract, rootstock, ethereum, etc.
But there has not been a proven use case for that yet, given the complex nature of each use cases

At the moment, I believe that fintech solutions like credit cards and cash money is a quite good solution for the average Joe in the United States who is interested to buy a coffee. I don't think bitcoin will ever take over the world mostly because fintech adapted itself to bring better solutions.
