Congrats on the Suns bettors.

That was great 4th quarter run, it only showed that Mavericks don't have a good defense and they are just a one-man team.
Luka was goating in the first half but got tired in the 2nd half, I smell a 4-0 here, just like what Suns did to the Nuggets last playoffs.

Anyway, I'm a bit sad because I bet on the under, I thought I will see better defense, but nah.

They try to provide good defense, but Paul really heating up and plays so well.

It's not easy to defend a kind of star CP3 was, he can shoot or pass the ball, his IQ is very huge, he is not the point god for nothing
right? The problem with Mavs, they don't have the balance. When Suns start to overrun, then they just throw the ball without proper
system, forcing shots and missed a lot of close range attempts.

Exactly, that balance is very much lacking for the Mavs. They beat the Jazz even without Luka but Suns are a different team, everyone is willing to score and they are moving the ball very well. Booker and CP3 maybe the best players but they have a huge support from the other starters, plus Suns control the paint.

Dallas 25 rebounds vs 34 rebounds of Suns, that alone is a big statement that Dallas is not better than the Suns.

It is pretty obvious who's a greater team, and that is the team that has team play, but this is NBA everything can happen, so don't be sad in what is the result we can always learn from that mistakes and sometimes the result can still be the same because this is gambling, and NBA is an unpredictable sport, to bet on and we are basing our picks on the team that don't have injuries, base on their previous games, and sometimes on something else,

Yeah, it's possible for the Suns to sweep the Mevericks as they were so dominant in the last 2 games.
i'm thinking now that Maybe Pelicans are way better than the Mavericks. LOL.
Anyway, Mavs has to win game 3, or I don't know where their series is going.

This is just a hunch but the Suns will surely need to make a sacrifice in resting their solid players in a crucial game, but in this game, the Mavericks are very relying on Luka Doncic, the only time the Mavericks will be winning against the Phoenix Suns is if the Suns would let their main players take a rest, and do not play against the Mavericks, well just my opinion, the Mavericks can sometimes surprise me in a different way, but it is not this time,

They try to provide good defense, but Paul really heating up and plays so well.

And always relying on Luka Doncic, I have seen they are letting Luka Doncic force his basket so much, that they don't realize that it is not going to work that way, the Phoenix Suns have a fast pace kind of play because of Devin Booker, and Chris Paul, they are like the Warriors but doesn't have any spare players that could take Bookers place,

Brunson who averaged over 20 points in the 1st round series is very much limited so far in the last 2 games.
They have a very bad shooting percentage, except for Luka, will that change in game 3 and the Mavericks will have at least 1 win or will even the series?

Taking the mavs is quite scary after seeing the last 2 games.  Sad

Jazz has this firepower but not as a team instead as individual talents,

Unlike with the Suns, point god Paul always orchestrating the play and Booker the killer is always on the run to take his kill.
It's a very different team that Mavs is facing right now.

They need to adjust. Coach Kidd should rotate the ball and not to let Luka handle it most of the time. Even he is a great star
he can't carry it alone.

Very crucial if Mavs will play that same system from the last 2 games, letting Luka to carry the all load, it will be tough and

a possible 4-0 swept from the Suns, Brunson needs to step up, just like thee way he did from round one series, he should be more aggressive to find

his rhythm. His contributions will be the big factor in winning a game against the Suns, and also, they need to adjust to the defense.

they need to be closer and not to allow Suns shooters to keep throwing high percentage shots.

I admit I really don't dare, and if that shooting percentage doesn't come back then I think it will never ever, and back to the old relying on Luka Doncic, again for the Mavericks while the Phoenix Suns, will surely have a sweep when the Dallas Maverick wouldn't do a thing about that, and apparently, Luka Doncic doesn't always have the answer to the Mavericks problems, likely this could end up in a sweep just like what happened to the Brooklyn Nets,

Very crucial if Mavs will play that same system from the last 2 games, letting Luka to carry the all load, it will be tough and

The Mavericks should act as a team and not just carry the team on 1 player's shoulders it could be tough for Jalen Brunson to spread his performance to another level but if they learn how to act like a team, I really think they can have a fighting chance against the Phoenix Suns, they have the super all-star Luka Doncic and not treat him as a reliable tool to always just give him the ball and hope for the best the Phoenix Suns have seen this play before the Dallas Mavericks needs a new and better strategy to face the Phoenix Suns next game because if not a sweep will likely to happen.

I was frustrated with what happened to Gary Payton II and I think it is a flagrant foul and an intentional foul at the same time Kerr has said that Dillon Brooks broke the code he sure wants Payton out of the Picture because Gary Payton II is doing his job amazingly in guarding Ja Morant, and the results Ja Morant just got 30 plus points on the 1st game, and when Payton is out Ja Morant has gone crazy on the 2nd match, and right now GP2 has suffered ligament damage in addition to his fractured elbow, so this is a very serious injury, and I think that Dillon Brooks should be suspended, and if not suspended for 1 to 2 games out for good this season.
Haven't imagine that Brooks will go for something like that, he was just ejected and there's no news if he's suspended for the entire series or season because it was clear that he used brute force to commit an intentional foul on Gary Payton II. Now he is injured and probably cannot play even if the Warriors can made it to the Finals. That was really a dirty play and Kerr was right that he broke the code, but I don't seriously think that the whole Grizzlies team planned for it.

^^ Yeah, Just woke up and surprised to see that the Bucks is down, it seems that the outside shooting of the Celtics is good in this game.

And then Giannis is being check in this game, no easy shots for him and the usual double or triple team when he has the ball. We might see 1-1 tonight.

It happened, Celtics adjust so well in guarding Giannis while their shooting also adjust and contributions from Jaylen Brown

help them up in dominating and winning this game, Giannis and the rest of the Bucks tried to rally back in the
third, but Tatum and the whole cast of Boston are aware and not willing to allow that run, they push more in the
last quarter to secure that big lead and win the game.
Almost everyone have thought that the Bucks will close the game with a 2-0 lead in their series but the Celtics adjusted well and played impressively to catch up with their loss on the 1st game. They now know how to stop the Bucks especially Giannis inside the paint, if we looked into it closely, they are taking advantage of the status of the Bucks especially that they are now undermanned. But there's still room left to improve in the Bucks side, we will see on the 3rd game.
I disagree though, the Celtics has been the favorite in the first 2 games so if there will be some scenario in the beginning, it will be Boston 2-0. Fortunately for the Bucks they won the first game and then Boston torching them up in game 2.

I have Miami -7.5, I without Joel it will be the same outcome with another double digit win by the Heat.
I'm not saying though that the Bucks is the favorite to win in this series but yes the Boston Celtics were the favorite to win before the series started but when the Bucks defeated them on the 1st game even if Middleton wasn't around, the air suddenly changed direction and there's a lot of fans as well as bettors that have thought that the Bucks will have a 2-0.

Yeah, but there are bettors who likely made money on the Celtics because as I have said, they remain the favorite in game 2.

But looking at the odds for game 3 now, there is a shift, Bucks at 1.65 now, and Celtics at 2.16. Almost the same with the other as the games are moving on the home court of the opposing team.

I do agree, it was not planned, it just so happened, just like when Siakam broke Embiid orbital bone with that one Euro step causing Joel to missed as well the games against the Heat.

Nope, I don't se it that way. Siakam may have injured Embiid but that was clean, and there was no controversy on that. However, Brooks play was pretty obvious it was a hard foul to hard GPII, and the organization speak their decision by suspending him one game, he would not be suspended if he is not guilty.

Players code. One example. "Meet me at the top." I heard that from Westbrook when he was fouled by DeAndre Jordan who grabbed him down avoiding an easy layup for WB. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_vZrc0vm7E0
I agree with Kenny "The Jet" Smith about there's a right way to make the foul and avoid an easy deuce but because of the inexperience of Brooks and the spur of the moment, it was done wrong.

I don't think Brooks is a dirty player, there's no history of him doing those kinds of fouls but a suspension should be acceptable to him as he knows he went far on that play.

The schedule changed I thought I will be watching Warriors vs Grizzlies tomorrow but instead, it will be teams who played yesterday.

Whether it's intentional or not, what's important is that Brooks is already sanctioned and he should know that what he did was wrong. He can be aggressive but always ensure that his movement will not severely injure a player, because if they think of injuring a player to get rid of him, that is not good sportsmanship, and a bad competition just to win.

There's always a corresponding sanction when you do something wrong, and the organization already implements that.

Now we all need to move forward and see if how both Memphis and GSW will pay this series. I'm sure after that defeat GSW will
be more aggressive playing at home. Aside from more offensive attacks, they will provide better defense for Morant and the rest
of Memphis. Maybe Klay will adjust or a double team will be more strict not to allow Ja' to penetrate with a much higher confidence.

-snip-
Haven't imagine that Brooks will go for something like that, he was just ejected and there's no news if he's suspended for the entire series or season because it was clear that he used brute force to commit an intentional foul on Gary Payton II. Now he is injured and probably cannot play even if the Warriors can made it to the Finals. That was really a dirty play and Kerr was right that he broke the code, but I don't seriously think that the whole Grizzlies team planned for it.

I was frustrated, but Dillon Brooks is a good player that will not account for that kind of playstyle just to win, so I believe that he is a good player he doesn't commit a thing in the past, but that play he executed on Payton II was really a wrong code, and if he would be suspended because of that we really don't give him a chance to explain himself, yes I am frustrated on what happens to GP2 but this is basketball and a contact sports anything can surely happen in the heated of the game, he might do something to Payton to get injured but I don't think he deserves another game that he couldn't play, I think that game ejection was enough for that kind of offense, and yes the whole Grizzlies doesn't really plan anything about it, Basketball is a contact sport anything can happen inside the court.

The Boston Celtics VS Milwaukee Bucks is likely an interesting case, both teams can win over each other and both teams have their ups and downs and people are Switching sides because the Bucks will be playing on their home court and there might be an advantage for the Milwaukee Bucks, but we can not underestimate the Boston Celtics those players can really play under pressure and if the Celtics got to focus with their game, then this could be a win for them, but if Giannis Antetokounmpo will be pretty much in his good condition he might wreck havoc during this game, and as of not Marcus Smart is injured and can not play for this game,

With the Suns seemingly dominating the Mavericks and the 76ers without Joel Embiid, I think both series look like they could end in clean sweep victories for the Phoenix Suns and Miami Heat. I’d feel pretty good betting on both games individually for the Suns and Heat to cover the spread as well as a multi-bet for them both to win. I feel like Dallas has a chance of Luka managed to take over a game but so far Devon Booker has been shutting him down. Both games will be televised on ESPN.

That's the biggest difference in this series, Luka can't takeover the game just like what he did against the Jazz because someone is covering him so far and no one has been stepping up on them because of the good defense by the team as a whole. And if I'm not mistaken, he has some sort of injury, in his thumb that might bother him a bit in the next game. As for the Sixers, I think it's over as there is no Joel for them. So yeah, I like the idea of doing a multi bet for both Suns and Heat to cover the spread.

That's why it's a good action by the NBA, there's no favoritism.
Draymond was even suspended for a Flagrant foul 1 against Lebron in 2016 NBA Finals, and what Brooks did was worst.

No GPII and no Brooks, I think this is a fair match up, the only advantage of the Warriors now is they are at their home, so I expect them to win, but to cover the spread, I'm a bit doubtful..  Angry

The Warriors vs Grizzlies game earlier was certainly breathtaking to see and injured players like Gary Payton II and Draymond Green but luckily Green did return in the game afterwards, the intensity is really different when it comes to playoffs.

Anyways, we have 2 games later. Let's bet again and here's mine.

Miami Heat -8 (Butler will return while Embiid is still ruled out)
Phoenix Suns -6

Good luck guys!

There is news that he will be suspended without pay next game. So he will missed game 3 and that could be a big factor for Memphis because they are on the road against one of the best home team.

I do agree, it was not planned, it just so happened, just like when Siakam broke Embiid orbital bone with that one Euro step causing Joel to missed as well the games against the Heat.
Yes, I was also informed earlier this day that Dillion Brooks has been suspended to play on Game 3 after that incident, frankly that was way more beyond the line because GP2 was badly injured after he fell. Anways, the damage has been done and sadly for GP2, he cannot play probably for the rest of the season even if the GSW can make it into the Finals this year.

Maybe Dallas can win one game at their homecourt and show some semblance that they can upset the top seed. But I doubt that though, Suns has so many weapons compare to Mavs who mostly rely on Doncic, but it will not be sweep, I think the Mavs can win at least one game in their homecourt before bowing to the Suns in 5 games.
