Firstly,  I will like to congratulate all of us that started last year and today according to my country calendar we are in new year in health and prosperity.  I wish all of us traders well.

From all indications the cryptocurrencies market and bitcoin in particular has not seen to be in the bottom yet and the bears are more ready to pull down the price further.  We don't even know accurately were the bottom is and according to some speculators bitcoin might go below $3000 before we can see good recovery.

I initially thought that we have reached the bottom at $3200, but who knows, the market is based on speculation and anything can happen. I will try to remain optimistic this year though, but if the market condition worsen, then we need to adjust and be flexible.

My question is this: were did you think Bitcoin's price will be at this time next year and What are your thoughts and technical reasons why bitcoin will not go beyond $3000? Your views will be appreciated.  Thank.

I'm no expert, but we all know that everyone is waiting for Bakkt going live, in any case it's being push through again, we might see the price going down hard and possible to hit < $3K.

I believe we are the only one person here who is talking about "stable". I'm sorry even in 2020 you cannot find bitcoin will be stable. It will always fluctuate and most people here are concerned about on which direction it will fluctuate and never bother about stabilizing. As per the history and on my own technical analysis that we are going to have sideways markets in 2019 and it may have rising market also but there will be less possibility of seeing bitcoin prices to break $20k levels in this year.

You do not need to be proud of this action. But I'm seeing that you are missing out a very good lifetime opportunity to enter into bitcoin markets for cheaper levels. Yes, it may turn as your lifetime mistake also as you may never get chances to buy lesser than $4k for ever if you will not dare to buy right away.

At this time we are in january 2019 so no lot of trade news for now but some of altcoins get pump right now. But ethereum's price get pumping right now for its price.

Alt coins are now on recovery as there are many coins that got better rise in price same as those many coins bitcoin is also one of good coin. ETH is also improving but a little time will be taken.  But still the best coin to trade with is bitcoin only. I prefer it to trade for long term because this makes me feel safe to trade with bitcoin but it’s just my own thinking according to my experiences.

In this start of the year many of altcoins get pumping already slowly but lot of them also stock what on their price right now so it's good to buy until the of it not already pumping up.

Thats expected because the market corrections and blood bath badly affected alot of coins this lead to some coins loose there utility and potential. Therefore, only coins with huge and stable community support will survive once the market is stable or bullish.

How will they achieve stabilizing? Maybe there will be limits but I don't think that is gonna work. Because I want to use my money as I wish. Even if there is a daily limit of 1k, volatility will not stop until price be 100k(100k may not be correct).

Anyone can't predict what will happen, I say this because the bitcoin movement is only influenced by various issues and comes suddenly.
I feel it is difficult to predict even some market terms do not affect prices.
I might be stupid, but that is what I experienced.

Prices of some cryptocurrencies started to go up in the first week of this year and and in the coming weeks, there will be events that may help the prices to go further. But I still believe that the possible market growth for this year will be better that last year or more price pump than declines. No one can really predict what will really happen in this year but if there are positive developments that will take place this year then the market will going positive too.

The year 2019 is not a great year for us traders and also to those who bought at its peak on 2017 ends up selling most of their tokens at a low price. And that results to more loser in the market instead of winners. Lucky for those people who bought at the bottom then sell it at its peak. May this year brings us a good fortune since we indeed experienced a long bear market. We may see the bullish market soon, let's just calmly wait and see.

that is what all investors must do. we know how bad the effects of losses on your next action will be. because you will still feel scared and traumatized by the existing market conditions. the new year will make the new spirit and new atmosphere in the market . its gfood to forget the old losses

Hi. Depends how you trade. According to your post, I assume you trade in the middle term and not so much in the short term.

I posted a chart yesterday, this is a chart I saw lately and by no means I believe it is realistic, but perhaps you would like to have a look:

So from this picture, 2019 looks not too good. However, second half of 2020 looks fantastic. I personally would look at this with a grain of salt, but perhaps it can be convincing for others.

As far as I am concerned, I like trading in the short term, mostly using the same old adage, buy fear and sell greed + TA but it does not always work.

Good news is I am sure we will see plenty of big fluctuations again this year. So again a lots of up and down which is great news for short term traders.

do I have to find another job this year? because the lowest bitcoin price of around 3000 USD will occur this year, and it will take 4 years to do the hodl to get maximum profit

It will be very difficult to accept Bitcoin but I believe this can happen in the short term because the demand for investment in this market is increasing and people like the speed and safety. I personally hope many big countries will accept Cryptocurrency and ETF funds will soon join this market.

I don't think BTC's price is always too low. Its price will recover in 2019 and it will increase to $ 6,000. Because if the price of BTC is too low, other manipulators will be set up with a larger capital, they will buy the BTC and will kick the old whales out of the market easily. that is the nature of the decentralized market. so whales will not let the BTC price too low.

Predictors/speculators or technical analysts are just a method that we cannot make as a definite reference. I don't believe the price of bitcoin will go back down to $ 3000 at the beginning of the year because that hasn't happened yet, it's just a false method. Also, I can't be sure that the price of bitcoin will rise again this year, because that hasn't happened yet. Just prepare what will happen next, 2018 is a valuable year for investors or bitcoin traders, there are many lessons that must be taken and applied this year.

I don't see any good thing right now, specially until February. Every strategy fails, money management create stuck and gambling makes me poor. I still have back up fund for recovery asset but 2019 it will similar like 2018. I see it from psychology market because market needs time up and down not instant. Leave crypto now and maybe after February we will see good views.

First the price of bitcoin will always be unstable due to fluctuations, and in my opinion 2020 will not be stable due to the halving factor that might make prices volatile at that time, and am I sure the price will stabilize anyway.
this year is still gray, because there is no big thing confirmed this year, so any price changes can occur..

This year might be a good one. Before we got into 2018 I already knew that last year (2018) was going to be bad, and that’s why I withdrew everything. Last year I didn’t take trading so serious and what I earned wasn’t much compared to that of last two years. But I believe this year is going to be better. Why I didn’t anything better last year was because I didn’t expect bull run to happen twice straight. So this year should be good.
