yes, e-commerce platforms will definitely have huge impact in Cryptocurrencies. Just imagine Amazon, eBay etc accepting Crypto - people will go deep into crypto then.

Amazon and some online market already accept cryptocurrencies like bitcoin. Once cryptocurrencies will legal in all countries we can more huge impact especially in the field of e-commerce. The difference with breaking into e-commerce instead of sending money to each other which crypto is known for is that you can simply use your debit card to purchase stuff online. It means you can use your debit card globally anywhere you want online and buy stuff and get it shipped to you.

Without crypto you can still manage to get this done and its quite easy without any work, unlike sending money to someone which is hard unless they have some POS system where they can charge you money, sending money from one person to another is easier in crypto. That's why ecommerce will have trouble getting into crypto easily, some people who are fan of crypto will put up coinpayments addon on their wordpress and make it available but it is not an advantage, it is just an additional option, it won't create a new profit line for you at all. That is the reason it will take some time.

Shopify already had a big list of stores that accept Bitcoin payment but what is surprising is most of these stores when you check now removed Bitcoin as payment, so what that tells us? Well i had some unwise experience with the online shops, meaning that after a made the transfer without any issue, i feel bad because i knew that somehow i didn't made my best choice, and since then i have decided to hold crypto coins as a long term investment. One way to mitigate that risk is to quickly exchange crypto to fiat via an exchange API. You need to have an access to exchange with high liquidity though. I do think this solution is easy enough to apply, no need any insurance or something like that. Just simple and effective payment and exchange.

Instead of thinking crypto as a medium of payment only, we can use crypto and their blockchain as some kind of notes on payment transactions. This way, we need crypto to write transaction details between two parties into the blockchain but payment can be made via fiat, etc.

In my opinion, it will cause a double loss if it has to be exchanged with fiat directly. Losses due to fees or withdrawals, then losses due to lower prices except using stable coins.
