I've look the market price early this morning and it still in the 3rd place but it actually change right now.
It is pretty obvious that people whave still giving trust even this coin is a cause of many ICOs fails. The continuous uprising trend of Eth will help for market recovery and bring back into $500, hopefully.
There is no doubt that eth is second to bitcoin for popularity. Though ripple showed the potential of it, it won't take long to stay in place because eth is more usable than ripple. I also believe that ripple is not for long term investment unlike ethereum which supports the other platforms. |

I had no doubt about it, and always believed that Ethereum will restore its rightful second place and will continue its development and accordingly grow in price. I hope this year will please us, and all who bought this coin in their portfolio on the decline, will soon feel a significant profit. |

This post put a smile on my face actually. I'm a hardcore Ethereum fan and when I saw ETH taking its second position on coinmarketcap, I was so happy. The market cap is approximately 15.9 billion. I understand the big news around Eth like Constantinople and the likes caused this recent uptrend.

In my opinion, Ethereum deserves the second place in the market in terms of capitalization. Its technology is very widely used every day by a huge number of people and development teams working hard for which I am proud of them all ! |

That's great news but it's quite expected. The Constantinople hard fork is coming, besides the market is finally looking up. I think that Ethereum has a really good chance to reach $200 in the next few days.

Take it easy. Ethereum is rising only because hard-fork is coming and another two fake fork coins will be created. Again and again, people are buying it and think that it is a good move. But it is not! We had many Bitcoin Forks, now we are going to have many Ethereum Forks? Look where are Bitcoin forks? Who really wants to use it? |

Finally and hopefully it will not happen again, so many people are ignoring how strong Ripple is, Ethereum developers and the community that supports Ethereum should not let go and continue buying more Eth and building more platform for the community, so the second spot will not be wrestled again.

Its a good news for us, specially for those holding big amount of ethereum because they can have a good profit and for for those
Ethereum always has the potential to be the best, I have never doubted ethereum's performance despite the various negative issues about ethereum including Mr. Vitalik plan to resign from this project, invest ethereum is a good and profitable thing. |

As I thought, the year for Ethereum began on a positive note. now it remains only to keep it and maybe it will bring a good profit. I think that capitalization will not stop at this point and continues to grow.

Without a doubt. Ethereum finally edging out XRP and reclaiming its number 2 spot in coinmarketcap. This occurence is surely a huge booster for this crypto. At the time of this writing, Ethereum is trading at $150.53 with a market cap of $15.68 billion. This only shows that Ethereum has still the capability to soar back and can survive any storm that comes its way.
This circumstance may yet pave the way for Ethereum to eventually [who knows] claim back the title as the biggest altcoin.

The second place of this market hold by Ethereum from long and Ethereum always deserve that place. IIt was time being that it dropped to the third number but it again retains its second position quickly.

I don't trust Ripple, I think they saved it's price falsely somehow. Ethereum brought back it's price fair and transparent.
Because in the past time, XRP has too many good news. They have a lot of big partners around the world and it has helped the price of XRP not fall when the market is in crisis. I also do not believe XRP and I am very happy that ETH has returned to second place after a long time |

In my hearth ethereum always no 2 spot but even they had taken back the second spot, I think the price should more higher. I always rate ethereum price should be 0.1 of btc and I expect the price around $300

I do not think the team has done anything special to merit a praise for the sudden increase. It is just market demand that is pushing price up. People are investing after the Christmas holiday. I'm certainly glad that Ethereum is back to no 2 as the best altcoin in coin market cap despite its recent fall of last year. I'm hoping that Ethereum will at least reach $500 in the next two to three months.

It is a very good beginning in this 2019. The market is changing good and many of them are green although some are still struggling. In this case, we cannot determine that the market will be better soon or not. But, seeing the position of Ethereum in number 2 again, I'm so relieved. It will influence how the projects and ICO so far.

I was not surprised by the position of XPR, I think this can happen anytime.
because the difference between the two is very thin, but eth remains the winner. maybe this is because ethereum will have hadrfork on January 11th.

I don't know if they are going to stay that long, Ripple developers are working really hard, so expect a tight battle between the two we may have seen a see-saw battle between the two this whole year better buy both coins for more profit.

I don't see any other coin taking the spot of BTC any time soon. Bitcoin is what everyone associates with cryptocurrencies, for the mainstream media Bitcoin = crypto. So it would take a lot for any other coin to actually overtake BTC. |
