Dude, I got 90% of feeling that this year is for the dAPPS. People will start loving it especially those who love gambling. Imagine, Highly secured because of the blockchain technology, fewer expenses because there will be no middlemen, just a second transfer of funds and so on. Once I have fully established myself especially in my finance, I will make sure I will create a dApp startup and make it boom!

Even on ethereum Network, the Dapps most used have about 1000 users per day, which is very low.
As I pointed out here:

I found this website and I discovered that the most used Dapps in the Ethereum network are 0x and MarketDao. I don't know those projects very well, but their number of users in the last 24h was very low, 1000 users.

So, 2019 may be an year where this number increases. But I doubt it  will be a Dapps year.

You are right , I myself use many dapps which are built on Steem Blockchain like Partiko , Actifit etc . I can bet there will be 100's of them this year Which is good for Crypto currency if you ask me because it will reach people faster.

Honestly I tried two of them this year because there has been so much talk about them but they were really not "games". Cryptokitties is seemed like a "game" but in reality its just a collectible thing and you could own a rare digital cat if you want. People spending thousands of dollars into stuff like that sounds a bit weird but even weirder part is people playing that like a game.

It is the ultimate microtransaction game where you are charged every single time you do something. Even the collectible part makes no sense considering all the value for the cats are dropping instead of going up, a collectible should gain value not lose value. Honestly if you read the title "game" you would assume it would be a game, not just "buy rare stuff and wait" because thats not playing a game. Its incredibly boring. I wouldn't suggest it to anyone.

Its still a game since you do able to make some decisions to be made just like on how you gonna breed up a particular cat.It might not be interactive just like a typical game but still considered to be the one.
Even myself got caught on the attention on trying these things not on my interest but been caught on the hype but I don't see anything revolutionary with these things.

I think this DApp is built in Tron network right? Correct me if I am mistaken but there are too many dApps like this one that you have to pay the fee for the smart contract in everything you do. And on top of that, you expect that your digital character will be worth more but it doesn't.
In my opinion, if we want to see Blockchain play a vital part in our society we need to see real Dapps with a real-life usage rather than games.

No cryptokitties is built on ethereum network. You need to use metamask in order to be capable of playing the "game" and it is certainly not a "game".

Yes, breeding seems like a "game" to many people but I have been involved with it for a while and you need to really spend a whole lot of money and time and effort on finding the earliest gen you can find for traits you want in order to have the kitty with the most advanced traits with as little gen as possible and for that to happen you also spend money on "breeding" fees and all that which takes this out of the "gaming" realm and puts it into investment quite easily.

Cryptokitties is just a fancy way of investing into valuables, some people get paintings, some people get rare books and whatever and apparently some people get kitties with the same idea.

Perhaps, the new trend will come to us, and if it's about iGaming dApps, then I think more games will release with that platform. Every month or every year, there always comes the new technology which offers something different than the old one, and they make something better than the other. With the technology that is developed from time to time, we will see many things that will be related with the digital technology because I am sure that in the future, our life will full with the digital technology.

The idea is really good behind the project , however it has not started in full power yet. I see the bitcoin price on lower than 4000 dollars and if the predictions of the big names come true that in May 2019 we may see a 35.000-40.000 dollar coin price this has to be the reason for the upside in price.
