Why I believe Bitcoin will remain number 1

I believe Bitcoin will remain number one because Bitcoin is still most interested by many people in the cryptocurrency market. So no Altcoin can replace Bitcoin's number one position.

I think the usage of Bitcoin is still low. If it wants to be in No. 1, it has to find more users.

Bitcoin is already beaten by Paypal and Visa and Mastercards. If you believe centralized databases are cryptocurencies, then you have to count them in also.

Paypal and visa are accepted worldwide but when using you have to verify your identity, which makes people who have a lot of money feel very worried because they can investigate your property any time. For me Bitcoin should be the number one choice because its anonymity will make us safe and it will be difficult to investigate our account.

For the record, there have been several attempts by ETH and XRP, (Flippening/Rippening remember?). But it didn't happened because there's not enough support really push and overtake bitcoin. Why? Because investors will go to a coin where the chance to get big profits and at least sustainable.

There might be a time that a new coin will emerge and try to challenge bitcoin again. But it will be very difficult because bitcoin has gain world wide attention already and investors will not likely move away from buying it for the next 10 years or so. We might see mass adoption for bitcoin in the future.

So far, the entire cryptocurrency universe is being led by Bitcoin. Of course there are a few alternate cryptocurrencies that are also at the forefront in the worldwide crypto promotion. However, the general impression is that if you are a crypto supporter, you are naturally supporting Bitcoin as well. But it might not be the other way. It does not necessarily follow that if you support Bitcoin you are also supporting the altcoins. In other words, Bitcoin is the common denominator of everything. No doubt why when it comes to bull and bear seasons, Bitcoin is also the first. The first to rise and the first to suffer as well. Crypto is almost equal to Bitcoin at the moment.

because bitcoin has not yet found any competitions in the crypto market for all crypto were just alternative to bitcoin. Meaning that all of the crypto are just basing on the bitcoin market price movement and thay influence its market price by bitcoin. I doubt also that there will be another coin that will stand against bitcoin since it is still considered as new and it may not look like good to have a lot of crypto competition. Bull run may never going to happen.

The moment a coin/currency/project comes up with a "real" economical use case that requires the coin to run it, Bitcoin will be in real danger of being number 1. We saw it 2017 with ETH: Not much was missing to de-throne BTC back then.
It can happen anytime again in the future, however, maybe it will never happen. This case would be the boring and sad answer, because it'll most likely mean that crypto as a whole did not evolve past its present use cases...

Yes, the media will usually talk when crypto currencies become viral in cyberspace, and that's when they talk a lot like oversleeping heroes, because the media feel "that rising crypto prices" are caused by the news they've spread.

I also believe that. I am sure that bitcoin will still be the best, with various aspects available, bitcoin remains a major currency for cryptocurrency users. A good level of trust and a growing number of places that accept payments via Bitcoin can be a reference. I am very optimistic that someday bitcoin can become a currency that is recognized globally and even someday there will be a regulation that regulates the use of Bitcoin.

For the past 10years bitcoin was able to sustain its ranked as a number 1 cryptocurrency and I believe bitcoin will stay on that as long as this market lives. The same to me, I know the crypto market through newspaper and magazines about Bitcoin and I am very curious then join in to learn it. Therefore humanity will know Bitcoin before knowing other currencies. Bitcoin will not have competitors in the crypto market and it is a trend of the times.

Technology-wise, I think there were a lot of more advanced and innovative projects following the footsteps of Bitcoin. Bitcoin built the foundation and all. It has paved the way for the likes of Ethereum, Ripple, and the rest of the cryptocurrencies. But then the younger ones have developed more of what Bitcoin has started. Smart contracts, DApps, etc etc have been developed later on. However, as the cornerstone, as the foundation upon which the entire world of cryptocurrency is built, it will be highly unlikely that it will be set aside, much less forgotten. It will definitely remain the most used and revered one.
