Hello all!
I have just heard about microchip in a hand which you can use for Bitcoin payments.
Have you heard about it? Do you know where to order?
I have heard that it is classic microchip for dogs/cats but you have to modify it, but how?

I saw a post on Reddit back in the day about this, unfortunately the YouTube video has been deleted.
"This guy has a BTC wallet implanted in his hand": https://www.reddit.com/r/Bitcoin/comments/6k4s6c/this_guy_has_a_btc_wallet_implanted_in_his_hand/

I don't think it's something you just can simply order online; but instead something specifically made for you, though I'm not 100% sure. It's probably something you request a surgeon to implant it for you, though I guess it's going to need some requirements(probably needs to be approved by a doctorate authority to make sure it's safe).

I have heard about this RFID microchips even before but I have never heard of application to bitcoin.

There's a company that implements microchips to their employees somewhere on Switzerland.

https://www.weforum.org/agenda/2018/05/thousands-of-people-in-sweden-are-embedding-microchips-under-their-skin-to-replace-id-cards

But that's not bitcoin.

As cool as it sounds, I don't want to implant such thing on my body. Using hardware wallet is safe enough for me, and I wonder why we should use something like that. Won't we have more risk of being kidnapped/hacked when we use that chip?

I don't know, is that good for us in the future? I think it feels uncomfortable to plant something in our body. Like there is something else, which is not part of us

Very old and pretty stupid idea,if you ask me.
Bitcoin isn't accepted anywhere, when it comes to retail purchases, and implanting a microchip in your hand is pointless. There are better ways to store your bitcoins. Grin

I see review with someone who has implant in his arm and he said that he doesn´t know about it, he doesn´t feel it.
For me it seems very comfortable, no card, no mobile.

A microchip for a bitcoin wallet being implanted into your body being "good" is hugely subjective. But stuff being implanted onto your body are really nothing new; people do it all the time, like when they add some metals on your body you critically break your back/ankle/leg or something, to fix your leg or whatever. Same with breast/butt implants. I'm pretty sure you're aware of this. Tongue

I had kinda watched it somewhere in the internet when i was new to bitcoin. Something like a small conference in germany and the person just made a Bitcoin ATM transaction and he just place his hand on an RFID scanner (looks like it) and the transaction got signed.

I don't know, is that good for us in the future? I think it feels uncomfortable to plant something in our body. Like there is something else, which is not part of us
Well if you don't know, somewhere in family planning, there's an implant method and it's quite effective. Maybe it depends if what you'll implant in your body will help you a lot. Maybe let's try to ask those who has pacemakers if they feel uncomfortable that there is something in them.

This is the first time i've heard it. I don't think it's a bad idea because you don't have to bring anything when going outside. I wouldn't do it to myself though i'm happy with the current wallet I have. For now it's mainly for holding purposes since there's only a few ways to spend your Bitcoin irl. The risk with using an implant is that someone could program a scanner that sends everything to a certain address not sure if there's such thing but someone could do it.

I had met a project several months ago and was even offered to receive a kit in exchange for a little promotion. The kit contained the chip and a syringe; I just needed to take the kit to the doctor to get the chip installed. I refused since, not sure if it's good for your health in the long run..

I'm sure I have heard about it somewhere as well, but personally I would never implant something into my body. I believe that we as humans need to remain as pure as possible both physically and mentally. That's my belief so no offense. Get a bracelet instead. Wink

Although many people are afraid of it, this is what the future will look like. If you have a chip implanted under your skin it will be easy to find you if you get lost or kidnapped, you will have all your documents like ID, driver's license, with you at all times. The chip will allow you to be identified even if you die in a fire or something. A great thing if you ask me.

What the heck ? Do you want something implanted in your body ? There must be some side effects because of that.
Using wallet in my smartphone is enough for me, because my phone just like the second of me. I think some peoples feels like that too.
Anyway, using implanted cryptocurrency wallet in human body won't be good for health.

Having a bitcoin wallet implanted my be a good idea but it would be best for nobody to ever know about it.  I would prefer my own method of steal engraved private-key.

This kind of things sounds me like science fiction. I wouldn't let something which is a micro-chip or not to be injected to my body. Also, it doesn't make more secure my cryptocurrencies.

Will probably be heading to this in the future, safer for us as it's implanted to our body.
As we go to the digital world, this is just going to be a norm going forward because technology will change everything for the better.
Imagine, you can just walk in a grocery, get all your needs and go out and then get scan, transaction done, easy for the businesses this way, and this is just one of the good example as its also applicable with services.

This kind of things sounds me like science fiction. I wouldn't let something which is a micro-chip or not to be injected to my body. Also, it doesn't make more secure my cryptocurrencies.
But this is going to happen, we have to adopt with the changes if majority will do.
It will only not secure if you will bring everything, it's just like bringing a wallet but attached to your body, refill when you needed to.

I have heard this before but i was never seen through my eyes that people do transactions with implant wallet but this is could be good inovations for the future that people will not necessary anymore bringing wallet or smartphone when they do transactions but it should be further examined to see the short-term effects and long term effect
