This guy was a hero I would say, because he stands as a real lesson and an example to many of us.

Teaching us to stay strong and never give up.

Is that you? I think it is one of your picture way back then OP when have sell your BTC at low market price. Anyway, today and past has no relation when it comes to bitcoin market price movement. As we all know that we are having some.troubles now with bitcoin legally. And this maybe a hindrance for future development for bitcoin.

<snip>
You never know which direction the price will go. Those same Bitcoin were @20K ish. Think about it how much money this guy would have? Think the other way as well. When people bought @20K ish and now price is $4k ish what is going on in their mind?

Every day they are having heart attack.

I don't compare my bitcoin with fiat. I am lucky that I do not need to use any of the money I have in Bitcoin so I hold (HODL). It's not the only reason I hold my bitcoin. I hold because I believe in Bitcoin too. I need these bitcoin to use when there will be no fiat available. People will abundant their fiats.

there are already many people like him, they buy cheap and sell directly when prices rise.
and I don't want to be regretful in the future because that's what I buy now. I've already felt big profits because of holding long term. and I want to understand this, at least once more.

Well that guy has already earn it and it was almost doubled. There is nothing to worry about trading crypto for earnings because one can still buy it and earn again and again. The routine still be the reason could still earn just do not forget that the important thing here is that you should invest taking some risks and thats it your good to go.

And alike many people sold Ethereum in 2016 for 5USD. Unfortunately in advance nobody knows what project will rise high. There are tons of examples even in traditional market when capitalization of a company rised exponentially.

Why do people place so much emphasis on the past? Bitcoin is a different thing and in a completely different place to where it was years ago. If you only assume that the past trend will always continue then you'll be mistaken.

I think there is absolutely no reason to shame that guy because he has a good investor thinking he took profit after his profit margin hit 500% so that can never be thought of as bad luck rather that is pure investor minf who takes profit and moves on to next opportunity.

Not only that guy but someone who has stored all of his bitcoin and it's more than 30k bitcoin in the hardisk and then he was thinking if that was worthless and this time he was regretting it for all the time because he was not rejecting a big chance to become a millionaire.

Definitely this is unbelievable, trust, patience and faith made him a millionaire. well this is why experts always reveal to plan for long term as there is a big future for crypto currency and here is a genuine example of what we are seeing today.

Nice share. Thank you very much.

This was not the new incident that we do come across. The most famous one must be buying a pizza  for 10k bitcoins. This topic must be enlightening many people who are not at all planning for long term. At least for bitcoins, they should start planning for long term so that they can profit the maximum.

My recommendation is, go for altcoins for short-term targets but always have bitcoins for long term holding like for decades.

If he had it today, he would have gotten more than he regretted. I'd buy that 1700 BTC of his for $10 today if he still has it.
There are also tokens that I have sold before which by now I have regretted so its not just him who had the thoughts of not dumping the stash he shouldn't dump.
but I think he bought back some of it already, this happend 2011.

but in reality, the trend is always repeated. every time we can see from the bitcoin chart. every time there is a fall, surely sooner or later there will be a pump on the market. so there's nothing wrong with hoping as in the past.

This guy is the best example for the FUD's as well as the panic sellers because we need to make a clear intention before investing like we need to plan for long-term there will be twist in the market for sure but we should never give up and this guy deserves everything for his patience and having trust in crypto currency.

It's just a wonderful picture! I've never seen it before, but I saw a lot of others)) We are too busy with current price levels and never think in an appropriate scale. It's really funny to see this kind of "memes", but the truth is that we all are in the exact same situation now (in relation to 3-5 years from now) Wink))

A lot of people, especially those who invested in bitcoin as early as it was created have the same regret now. Bitcoin price was really cheap that you can afford even millions of it. If you have kept it you would have been an instant millionaire now. However, no one can predict the future, so if you believe in crypto, invest now.

This post carries a danger, as now there are a lot of cryptocurrencies on the market, and not all of them will live up to the end of this year. And the danger to stick to HODL large.
But this post is very motivating and gives optimism))

I can well imagine that there are many people who regret that they have sold their bitcoins. I would not feel well if i were in this situation and i would be very annoyed with myself, but that is unfortunately the normal life.

There's no end to this. Bitcoin has so far increased to $ 20,000. But he could've gone up or down. You will always be able to level higher. We have to find the right time to sell.
