I would like establish a new type of ticker -
with not a fiat (i.e. USD) for a crypto (i.e. as here - agains Bitcoin) but with a well known product. PIZZA here i.e.

N PIZZA / BITCOIN

I named thys type of ticker 'No' Ticker - please see, because the name of the type of ticker, this post also:

Kisses - in physically form - are universally accepted - we hope Smiley Or?

((we did a little seaching on the web... Try google: kiss pictures))

and we would like remain with Vortexledger (ledger for barter) local and segmented, maybe offline sometimes... ((offline first db...))
It will be No Money on top of No DB Smiley No General, No Global something - it will be used, if needed, a well known local and tokenized thing (i.e. water, milk, apple, working hour's of a local carpenter, lawyer, teacher, ...)

Many things will be tokenized. You can "pay" i.e. with your tokenized working hours at your post in your village Smiley

what a great idea but im still in doubt how a cashless society functions without universally accepted mode of transfer of assets?

And our ticker will be posted as second post in this thread (please be patient - I post it not periodically - but I will post as I a little time got for such purpose...
You can do it also - please post the prices, as you see...):

Today's price (in La Coma in Dunakeszi, in Hungary ~6 USD / pizza if you buy three pieces at once...) ~660 pizza / Bitcoin...

The all time high ~3300 pizza / Bitcoin (December 2017).
The all time low 1/25000 pizza / Bitcoin ( I don't know the Date - please post it, many thanks Smiley )

My all time low was 0.4 pizza / Bitcoin in November 2011 (You can post YOUR all time high and low for a PIZZA agains Bitcoin Smiley Many thanks for posts...

So you will update this regularly every day.   Its just confusing the quote has another date on there as well.

This idea isnt unprecedented, there is a McDonalds 'bigmac' index to show global inflation (run by the economist?) and variation in food costs worldwide over time.     What we need here is a standard measure of pizza, the size of it and I presume we'd just be ordering the basic cheese and tomato that is traditional and recognised in every country ?

The reason this is not a silly idea, actually would be useful is that a pizza is a measure of inflation in of itself.   Food costs are essential to society and reflect costs in an economy.    Part of the Arab spring uprisings was about the cost of bread in Egypt I believe, which was to do with variation in currency pricings after the 2008 crisis or thats how I remember it.   Food is a common cost across a nation and not one that can be easily ignored or disputed.

Bitcoin hopefully is relevant even to the smallest food transactions and is efficient enough to deal with them, maybe even help facilitate trade over a failing currency standard, Venezuela being one current example thats led to starving people apparently

What I tryed to establish a poll - but it was deleted later... I showed many possibilities - i.e. "x liter Milk / 1t steel" . And I asked - which ticker has more information about economy......

It was a compare between bitcoin ledger and vortex ledger (or more...)
please see the ann thread of vortexledger:
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=4392525.0

Many thanks for your contribution...

If we see: In Hungary was a 0.1 liter milk 0.1 HUF ((around 1972?)) we see the value of HUF and don't the value of 0.1 liter milk...
I think PIZZA / BITCOIN a better ticker as USD / BITCOIN Cheesy in such way...

If somebody hear: it was 1 PIZZA sold for 25000 Bitcoins - every people can taste it - what a market value Bitcoin had... Not a need to know - what a USD price this PIZZA had!

Milk is - maybe - a better ticker? Or trink-water? (in some countries already - in Hungary - it is free at this time) Or air? (it has a value in Mars - and maybe in some cities in our globe also...) Smiley

I don't think - it was off topic the post above... It is about the economy of bitcoin, compared to other possible types of an economy - through tickers.
If somebody don't take critique well - I can't do anything to weak up a such community. I see it was centralised. Yes - the bitcointalk.org was a loose organisation of many different people,
and just I feel it is centralised - nobody give feedback, if somebody gives new ideas. It will be deleted - without a discussion.

Do you believe or not, but there are plenty of chances for bitcoin to get $500 Million value in next 30 to 50 years of time.
Now please tell me, how many pizza you may able to buy for a bitcoin ? Now, people will ask, why not $1 Billion value ? It is possible but we cannot estimate any time frame for that.

In next 30-50 years. probably people would have forgot to use the notations like BTC or mBTC as satoshi would be their easier unit to understand price levels better. Hence in 50 years of time, bitcoin may be divisible up to 15 to 20 decimals (probably one satoshi might get divided into another 8 decimals). I may sound wired, but this is the practical one and will happen.

By the way, what is the price of one "usual/common flavored" pizza in your country Cool ?

I think the number in Pizza less as the number in USD. The value of 1 Bitcoin of course... USD has an inflation. Pizza (because the more people and less living environment) has a deflation agains USD.
And I think also agains bitcoin! In long run.
And a Pizza costs in Hungary - as I wrote in the first post Smiley

Ok, so how much would that pizza be, if you bought one when the price of a Bitcoin was $18 000+ in 2017? Also, if you took your monthly fiat budget for food and you converted it into Bitcoin, then your goal was to spend that food budget in that month. So, you had no long-term goals to hoard those coins, to get a higher price for them.

It is like saying, I am drawing $100 from my food budget today and spending it, before it's value goes down to $80 in the near future.  Roll Eyes <You still spend $100, no matter what the value would be in the future>  Tongue

I had xapo VISA card. I bought things - I was able to check what it cost. It was a nice list. i.e. I rent a car in Venice, and the card had more balance in USD as before Cheesy I showed the whole process to the counterman, and he called the bank - what happened Cheesy Then I had a car, to drive to Hungary and back. Nice.

And I buyed some Bitcoins, as it was ~2 USD. It meens, I payed for Pizza at end of 2017 USD cents Smiley or less...
Today, if you pays for a Pizza with Bitcoins, it a clear lost, if the price just for a minute falls...
The bear market for Bitoin is sad. You lose everythng in minutes.

If the payment based on Milk...... What should I say. It is stable. Very stable. And the people feel - they needs the living enviroment also......
