There is no how everyone will hold and some need to sell for others to buy but the trader can only determine which price he wishing to buy or sell and that makes the market what it is today even if it when down to #0 people will still sell and some will definitely buy , but most trading volume is for day trader who buy and sell at a glance of little gain .

Every time a block is mined, a certain amount of BTC (called the subsidy) is created out of thin air and given to the miner. The subsidy halves every four years and will reach 0 in about 130 years.

There are no explanation for the large volume sale at that price. I expect a level of hodling that will pump the price but the crypto market is not always the way we predict. the fake volume from exchanges are also capable of giving wrong information of the price and market but it wont be for long in the year.

The current price decline in the market is indeed a bit surprising, because many experts estimate that this year the crypto price will soon surge, after experiencing a severe crisis last year, but in reality crypto is still having difficulty achieving its best price
Honestly I am a little bit surprised as well, while I was not expecting a huge recovery I was expecting at least a recovery of bitcoin to its previous price of 6000 and remain there for some time, but instead the price went down again, however the price does not move in a linear way and after some movement forward taking a few steps back seems natural so I am still not giving up and I still think we will see something like that during the next months.

Yes and what I find even more surprising is hardly any sign of putting buying pressure when there are close to 8 billion people in this world and half of them know about Cryptocurrency and here they are given a great opportunity yet I can tell that most never did, in fact probably still way more money was spent buying lottery tickets at 7 eleven yet these are high probable winning lottery tickets.  It's kind of ridiculous already that investors dropped cryptocurrency prices 40% from a 6000 bitcoin because bakkt was delayed from dec 12 to January 24.

The alternative can be any. You can engage in trading or continue to invest. The options are actually a lot, you only need to choose the right one for you and do not despair. Sell now in any case is not profitable, so keep your assets until better times.

in my opinion there is only one alternative way of our crypto at a low price, which is using our crypto for trading, that's the best way to make a profit.

I did sell half of my holdings last december 2017 and the rest I am planning to hold for a longer time. Other option is to trade your coins if you are knowledgeable of it.

Well i think we have all different reason of selling. But most of the reason is really the needs and the continueous deoppingvof the price. The people really wanted to sell because they cannot maybe recover the big lost if the price is continue to drop. We are now still on the very huge dip and this is really bad for those who buy thier asset in a big amount with a big capital. Maybe they lost almost 90% of thier asset if they buy last December 2017.  I still believe that we need to hold our asset today to gain more profit soon.

I always sell 50% whenever I receive Bitcoin on behalf of a client for a service provide (web dev, etc).

But I've been a bit hesitant to sell lately, I just think it's a waste of value and I'm unsure if it's going to go down further.

Samehere, i sold part of my coins for emergency purpose but I left some sufficient amount of coins for long term hold. I also occasionally trade some of my coins whenever I have free time. I think bitcoin and other cryptocyrrencies might suffer more declines this year  before going up again. I sell only when I badly need a money and that money often come from the result my trades.

im sure, if some people sell their coin, it doesnt mean that they are not believe on bitcoin. i think, there are many reason why people sell their coin. maybe they pay debt, or they out of stock money and just depend on bitcoin, so must be sell their coin. and im sure none try to sell coin because of afraid about market cant recover, because someday it will recover again
It has become a stereotype that if people sell their crypto currencies- talking about bitcoin in particular, it means they give up or don't believe. you made a good point that there are many reasons why one would sell. of course their are those that sell out of fear or just over they give up- but that's on them.

Generally people will afraid of their investment when the price is coming continuously down but in the situation the price becoming very stable but the development will be very low and so people selling their cryptocurrency but my opinion is while the prices table it is very healthy for the development so wait for some time to do something better with your knowledge.

Now it makes no sense to sell bitcoin! You will get the minimum cost. The best solution is to keep Bitcoin on. In a year it will become clear what to do for sure.

P.S.
Or you can sell just part of bitcoin if you need money now.

For me, instead of selling crypto at a cheap price that causes losses, maybe we can buy back some crypto that has a great opportunity for us to be able to make a profit. Because I see that prices will not always go down forever, surely there will come a time when prices rise again and can make us profitable, we may have to be patient to wait for these prices to rise and not be carried away by emotions or fear of loss makes us panic and sell in loss condition.

Lots of people with weak hands sell as soon as the first sign of trouble appears. People who makes big money are the people who HODL through tough times.
Most of the Small holders panic sellers also small traders. Big investors intention are something different they waiting bull run. Because they already lost big amount so there are no option to increase amount. Small investor can't bear big loses that's why going to sell blindly.

I dont agree with you that big investors are waiting for bull run, if you check properly then they are the one who exited on top and now they are slowly accumulating in low. Only the small investors and panic sellers and buyers are selling and buying. who have entered market in high and now they are crying.
