Are ICO's committing suicide by accepting some VC's that are going to dump after listing?

What about ridiculous caps?

Here's why we at www.elrond.com are NOT doing a BIG ICO : https://medium.com/elrondnetwork/were-not-doing-a-big-ico-6fdc9ce62a44

A big cap means if they are taking the more demand from the market and this is not a preferable idea for me personally. To create a fomo and I'm thinking about ico should not be greedy and then put the low cap to give them more room to grow for the token. Im a bit agree with it but i don't like how it was promoting its platform.

Well, I guess it depends on whether the project requires that much funding. Realistic funding request is one of the factor I will look into before investing. Asking for too much or too little money raise a red flag.

Wait!! Doesn't VCs have lockin period after token distribution with the smartcontract in deal? Every ICO should have the lock In period else their whole token economy will be drastically affected and it will going to affect the whole project.

I have never even seen any good reason for huge caps, and the funniest thing is that some of them do not even really have so much to offer in the first place and all they care about is to make huge and shit load of money. Trust me, the main theme for the ICO market presently as far as I am concerned right now is 'high level of greed'.

What is alarming is that they do have an MVP product as claimed yet they postponed their ICO after months of doing bounty campaigns because they thought later on when the market is stable, they can acquire more funds if they resume the bounty campaign. They were several of them already, they are still there waiting for the moment that bitcoin will be more than $10K again.

What worries me now is they don't care about how the projects are going to be better but cares only about how much the make

Just like in an article I once read, it is always very hard to grow from high up and that is how I see high cap ICOs. When you have a low valuation, it makes it a lot more interesting for the investors, and this is the kind of market that would grow pretty great as far as I am concerned as they have more space to grow. So in simple terms, the higher you already higher, the more difficult it becomes to grow coupled with the fact that most ICOs today are basically centered on greed just as you said anyway and some investors keep falling for it.
