I guess that is negligence on your part because no matter how many coins you have got, you should be able to follow up if you truly believe in those coins, all you need to do is to follow up at least once in a week because dev will surely give at least a week notice for a swap.

The Bitcoin network protocol was designed to be extremely flexible. It can be used to create timed transactions, escrow transactions, multi-signature transactions, etc. The current features of the client only hint at what will be possible in the future.

I do not know if there is a similar topic on the forum, but there are channels in the telegram in which upcoming SWAPs are published. With their help, you minimize the loss of funds due to swap

Sorry to heat that mate, but I have also met some teams, that gave several weeks for a token swap. This is just ridiculous, because I have so much telegram channels that I simply cannot follow every single news. But you are right, you should always pay attention to the projects in your portfolio.

I think sometimes they do a swap just to screw you, or at least that is how I feel. I hate swaps sometimes. They seem to often make the price go up for some reason. I think it is because it makes people all excited.
The best thing to do is create a folder in your bookmarks and add each projects Ann thread and social media and every now and then check the telegram to see how the project is doing. Don't forget to add the coingecko links. I lost out on 0.18 BTC it was worth 0.09 be the swap and then it went down after the swap while the newly swapped tokens went to up 2x

I agree it is a bitter experience. But most of the bounty hunters meet with this problem and often do not know about it. Since very few people

Thanks to some mobile applications like Bituniverse you can keep track of all your cryptocurrencies easily.
So having more altcoins means less risk because you diversify your portfolio against loss.

If not for your post about the loss of large amounts of money that I would have never checked their wallets. Now I found that a lot of my useless coins were listed on the stock exchange) Thank you very much.

This is bad, I thought they will be a workaround whereby you can always swap the coins you're holding even if you miss the deadline. Also if you anyone wish to hodl a coin, it's best to store it in a wallet that will likely support every swap the coin might do in the future.

I agree with your opinion, because it is better to have several coins that have brighter prospects and future, such as Bitcoin, Ethereum, Dash, Litecoin or other coins that have a fairly high sale value, at least above USD 10.
I am sure that such a benchmark will not worry that the coins held are not valuable, or that they are not registered in the crypto market because they are not selling well or the price is so cheap that no investor is interested in owning it.

This is both funny and sad. I have not experienced the same but I have experienced having coins that I thought were already dead. Only to find out later on that they were still alive and are actively traded on a few exchanges. It is always good to have different altcoins in your portfolio. But not too much so that you will eventually forget tracking updates of their development.

So, as you guys know, most coins will do swap when they perform blockchain upgrades or changing the coins to to a new coin

I just forgot about one of my coins and the swap was ended in the 31st of December
and guess what?

I just lost 0.3 btc because of it
God damn this is so painful

Been holding the coins since 2 year ago in the ICO stage
Never make such mistake guys remember
what you say is true, too. it's better to buy a little but can get a big profit than a lot but later it will disappear, it's just a waste of funds and time. most if prices are dropped off all want to be bought without analyzing it first, whether it can get profits in the future or not.

I suggest if you hold coin, you better always monitor telegram or social media from the coin, so that you can find out if there are progress or changes that occur in the project or product from coin that you have, because like what happened to you when coin that you have changes to a new coin and you are late doing it, so you lose the coin and of course you also lose your money, then I suggest you to always monitor telegram or social media from coin that you have and of course that can help you to avoid something that can make your money lost.

I agree with you. I have been also a victim of not checking on my coins for a long time and eventually missed the token swap losing quite a substantial amount of assets in the process. What I do know is just hold a few coins that I can monitor and manage properly.

Oh yes, you always have to follow everything and remember a lot. It is best to use for these purposes a table in which you can enter information about the coin. At the time of the event it is necessary to set reminders on the phone or in any other way convenient for you. These actions will help you a little bit, as we all know that often projects don't set clear dates for their events or updates, so very often you have to check all the information yourself, and this is so exhausting ...

Yeah it happens when you invest in so many coins and then don’t even check it for long term so people use to forget about the private key, so better invest in one or only two coins because it will be easy to keep in your mind and it will be easy to hold it as long as you want to, use wallet which is blockchain, best coin to invest your money is one and only BTC, ETH both are good coins.

you are totally correct. thank you for reminding. most of the people prefer to buy so many different altcoins. and it is impossible to follow each of them everyday. and after a while you become just a bag holder.

I agree with you 100% very difficult to keep track of the many coins that are in your wallet.  it is better to choose a little but a high-end and really productive coins, and not spent on cheap and a large number of coins that will not bring you anything and only you will spend time on it.

the biggest problem with holding different altcoins is always going to be their price. since altcoins are all getting pumped and dumped (some are created for pump and dumping and some are getting pumped and dumped but they all are affected) they all share the risk of losing their value in a very short time without you finding out about it.

so when you own many altcoins you are increasing the task you have to perform for watching and following them and increase the risks of losing more money.

But from another perspective, I would prefer investment diversification. It is not always good to put all your eggs in a basket. Investing in different Altcoins is preferable for me but not too much. One just need to keep record of all assets own then follow their news from time to time.
