It's not only about the name.. Scams are everywhere even with a unique profile. That's why I only trust projects such as tron, tap, beatzcoin etc that are publicly supported by famous people like Mcafee

According to NIST and ECRYPT II, the cryptographic algorithms used in Bitcoin are expected to be strong until at least 2030. (After that, it will not be too difficult to transition to different algorithms.)

Throughout the years, even legit-looking projects turn out to be scams. We need to research the team behind every project before investing. Pretty tiresome, which is why I've stopped investing in new projects for now.

Wise scammers also adapt to technological improvements and they develop their scamming tools for getting more victim investors. Big cryptocurrencies are more trustworthy and we need to apply the same methods to small market cap coins in order to get more profit.

Yes, the biggest problem that we can not trust anyone. There is no trust in projects. And because of this, we all lose money. I also lost not much today. I think that the next scammers. I also lost a bit today. I think that the next scammers.

You should always be careful, especially with overwhelming scam projects that are live on the crypto market. Invest a lot of time and make your own investigation, before taking part in any project and be sure that it is a legit one.

We need to read extensively on projects we would invest in. Some of these projects have no plan but they are designed with great ideas to lure investors. We can alone invest carefully to avoid these unscrupulous scammers

Almost 90% of the coins we have since their launch in 2017 have nothing good for us but rather they have stolen from us to their own benefit. This is enough for me not to bother with any new project because what I need crypto for is to be used for my online purchases and there are better-trusted coins out there that can do that for me.
One painful thing is that their developers act centrally on the project and decide what to do whether in favor of the community that is larger than them (just a board of 10 to 20). Even if I will invest in a project, I will wait until it gets listed on exchanges and then I look for its strength before I go in.

Exactly. The issue is that you can't trust any project. That's why you don't need to trust every project in cryptocurrency business because they can be scam especially the strange projects you know nothing about.

It's good strategy. If the project has good potential you can skip the first pump and participate in the second more powerful. Otherwise the massive dump will be visible

BTC   Bitcoin: A Peer-to-Peer Electronic Cash System   BTC
A purely peer-to-peer version of electronic cash would allow online payments to be sent directly from one party to another without going through a financial institution. Digital signatures provide part of the solution, but the main benefits are lost if a trusted third party is still required to prevent double-spending. We propose a solution to the double-spending problem using a peer-to-peer network. The network timestamps transactions by hashing them into an ongoing chain of hash-based proof-of-work, forming a record that cannot be changed without redoing the proof-of-work. The longest chain not only serves as proof of the sequence of events witnessed, but proof that it came from the largest pool of CPU power. As long as a majority of CPU power is controlled by nodes that are not cooperating to attack the network, they'll generate the longest chain and outpace attackers. The network itself requires minimal structure. Messages are broadcast on a best effort basis, and nodes can leave and rejoin the network at will, accepting the longest proof-of-work chain as proof of what happened while they were gone.

I completely agree with your opinion that most of the projects, the shepherds you are today in the cryptocurrency market, have practically no value. But what will happen to the others? Will they have economic and practical value, or will they be sold and bought only for the time being?

It's no news that scammers have deployed a new tactics by using ICO's. Since there are no regulations and establishment of smart contracts requires little or no programming knowledge, they can easily set up a token to carry on their evil enterprise.

We are involved in completely new technology investment. Therefore, scammers are also attracted to "muddy water", when you can make money by attaching a beautiful picture. So start, look at the market, find the community. Now many are actively responding to fraud and information quickly appears in communities. And some luck...

In the cryptocurrency market, I try to trust only trusted projects.
I study the project, ask about it from respected market players.
Analyzing the prospects of the project. Based on the findings, I decide to participate in it or not.

A lot of white papers are plagiarized right now. If you read a good one, make sure it is not plagiarized.

Now it is better to postpone investment in new projects that are not yet bargaining on good exchanges. In this case, you can earn much less, but you will be sure that you will not give your money to scammers.

Guys, it have come to my notice that some criminal minded guys are busy creating tokens and using it to defraud people, example of those tokens are *ripple classic, stellar classic, eos classic*, becareful guys and don't fall victim to their sweet mouth, they are busy listing them  in almost exchanges and using that to brainwash guy.... Becareful and guard ur money like ur whole life depends on it
I just came across a post on this forum where a guy was trying to get the opinion of others on their worst ICOs simply because he wants to launch his own. Individuals without any form of competency just easily create tokens, do an ICO, and leave the scene after the successful sales.

like that just as it happens. therefore, we only focus on coin investments that already have the highest market cap, for example bitcoin or etherum.

Postponing the date doesn't help to collect money and these delays are also devastating the reliability of ICO later. It is not simple to lose money to scammers nowadays and investors don't come near their trap.

It is really what you say, this world is so free that we must continue to be careful especially to follow projects from crypto currencies. Indeed there are many strange projects and it is a fraudulent project which deceives investors even though the project is not real. As crypto currency players, we must be wise. We must follow projects that are truly trusted and not only affected by the talk of many people. Before participating in a project, we should make an analysis of the project whether real or not and how the chances of success.

which is obviously good sometimes we can lose anything we invest in a coin that is not well known maybe the risk will be greater, yes, even though maybe the coins that are not well known can provide benefits.
Don't easily choose a project because there are a lot of strange projects now and it's just a fraud so you have to be careful when choosing a project.
