Here are the supposed specs for the card (taken from this source): 60CUs 3840 Stream Processors @ up to 1.8GHz 16GB HBM2, 4096-Bit @ 1TB/s memory bandwidth Retail Price $699, Shipping Feb 7th Depends what the availability of this card is and how it performs in mining. I'm not going to place any orders for this card 'till I see what it's capable of in mining, and the pricing is a bit high. It may still be more cost-effective to use older-generation cards like Vegas and Polaris cards for newer builds.

62% increase in opencl performance is great, but if it costs 70% more than a Vega64, not that much greater in the end...
We'll have to see when real tests come out I guess.

this don't look much impresive to me. Boosted Vega? it has a 7nm chip, it's not a Vega definitely. power consumption shoud also decrease.

it is 7nm Vega with twice wider memory bus and higher clocks for the same wattage. It should give significant performance increase for ethereum and cryptonight variants. Especially for heavy (much mem required) algos.

If it is 7nm there will be big improvement over Rx Vega and I expect to show really good behaviour in mining too. As far as I know 7 nm is the industry standard right now and is the best technology available. I see no reason why this card should not behave well if the specifics published will also be true in production.

I'm pretty interested in getting one for my personal desktop since it would pair nicely with my 4K monitor. If I can subsidize part of the cost by mining that's a nice bonus of course.
Does anyone know when the nda lifts for professional reviewers?

As a gamer, it doesnt seem all that great considering the price. At best it's comparable to a rtx 2080. As a miner, it looks very promising. It should be a decent upgrade over the vega 56/64. I'll be trying to get my hands on a few.

Wait...people actually CHOOSE to buy Vega's over basically any other mining card? This is news to me. I always thought they were kind of a joke.
Remember so few people mine with Vegas try to remember how long it took after they came out before any decent miners were released.
I would expect that it takes months after release before they are performing at anywhere near max capacity.

The hardware is quite powerful, but much like you said they're a lot different to use and often aren't working at their maximum efficiency.
