Will 2019 take us to Moon or Mars?

We need a more enough reason to leave the current situation with greens. Today when we look at the market again we see that the reds come back and end does not seem clear. ''If 2019 carries us into space, I guess we can do the rest by ourselves.'' Just the price should be pushed forward.

I don't mind 2019 to be a conservative year allowing everyone to carefully think about how we aren't just cheering for something that can go up in value a lot, but also something with fundamental importance.

People often discard why Bitcoin exists, which is unfortunately something people care less about as they blindly jump into every shitcoin they think has potential to go up.

Let the price be stuck around current levels for the rest of the year, I'm down for that. Maybe that will drive a large part of the speculators and ICOs so crazy, that they dump out of frustration and boredom.

Looking back at 2017 and 2018, one thing became clear and that is the never die attitude of the true Bitcoin investor/user. We are as stubborn and tough as a Honey Badger and we fight to the bitter end.

I don't think that we can say that it will happen this year, but I guess it would somehow. There are a lot of ways to do if it doesn't proceed to a new rally for now.

Not speculating but I will be happy if bitcoin stays on earth in 2019. Rather than focusing on the price point, it's high time to focus on organic adoption. That is a huge challenge because not many countries are particularly favorable to bitcoin and cryptos. Also the strong banking lobby is not supporting cryptos either!

However, if we can find those loopholes on the adoption curve and start promoting to the online businesses for accepting cryptos, at least some percentage of the total goal may be achieved.

Also this year, I believe we will see a whole new plethora of new disruptive technologies based on blockchain that solves real life problems. So not really thinking about moon or mars now! Stay on ground and let it grow its roots for much better future!

It is still difficult to reach the month in this year, the market is still too weak to increase that high, in 2019 it is still in the recovery phase and to reach the probable month in 2020.

There are many predictions about the new ath of the bitcoin, there are now many good signs in the market that proving that this year will be a good year. By studying the historical chart of the bitcoin, there are patterns that bull run may happen in this year.

Yes, maybe you are right about that, but in many instances after suffering with big downfall bounce back happen and it brings a lots of profits for those who able to catch up and take the risk, we do have different speculations and have our own assessment, better to follow your desire and position to make sure that you are doing things that you really understand.

Seconding part of Lucius's post here, we might have already got to the moon in December 2017 but right now we're clearly going back to Earth to refuel.

I'm really bad at predicting stuff but I don't see any spike matching the last one happening this year and not so much next one, so unless something really big happens (and in my opinion, Bakkt is not big) we are doomed on dancing with the bears for a time.

this is my general attitude too. as much as i'd like to see a bull run in 2019, my experience watching the 2014-15 bear market tells me to temper bullish expectations. not only did that correction take ~ 2 years to complete, but it looks to me like each cycle may be taking longer and longer to play out. perhaps it'll take even longer than 2 years this time around.

either, if the price is high I will choose that. well, there hasn't been a drastic increase in cryptocurrency at the moment, but I feel that the cryptocurrency price will definitely fly high this year. whether it's the moon, or to Mars, I think cryptocurrency will rise with rockets.

There is always no assurance for everything. If we put basis on the past year's we can all say that almost all of the speculation is not going to happen, it is opposite, some expert predict that the bull run will occur on December 2018 bit there is no bill run at all. Meaning to say that even expert really didn't know what will happen next in crypto market. I doubt in this thing with a rocket to the moon or mars. Price will climb so high one day, but it has no chance to happen this year. We at this forum are always extra motivated, we are full of hope and always with high expectations, but sometimes you need to look at things realistically. I agree with comment above, will have to wait a year or two before we see some bigger and faster growth, until then, patience and collecting coins in every possible way, honest way, is what we need to do until next bull run.

That's right because now the market has started to have a good change, so I'm sure that this year the market can go to the moon and never go to Mars. because the increase from 2018 to the present is a very good market

2017 was a bit of an exaggeration, where it wasn't just more transactions taking place inflating the fees, but the BCash fork contributed to most of it.
I'm certain that under 'normal' circumstances the hype usage of 2017 would still cause the fees to increase, but it wouldn't be even remotely as bad as it actually was. Did you notice that now these idiots have forked off we haven't seen one single spam attack of serious nature? I'm glad that they have their own toy to play with right now. Best thing that ever happened to Bitcoin.

I agree that this was an extraordinary year, people are under great influence of FOMO effect, and one of the reason is BCH fork or that we simply say free money opportunity. Also BTC futures have played their role since most did not actually know in which way the whole thing works, and we see one year later that futures almost do not have any major impact on crypto market.

I am not fan of BTC forks because they create confusion among users, but fork of the fork is a even bigger nonsense, and with no replay protection as far I know. I also hope this is the end of their attempts to show how their coin is actually real BTC.

The fight is still on until now. There will be no letting up on this fight up the point when the banks and the governments will have no choice but to either perish or adjust. This will happen provided the people within the crypto community will not let go in the face of hard market. If all of us will not dump even if the world is against us, time will come that they will join us. If we continue growing while the other side is getting smaller and smaller, they will give up and adopt crypto as well.

I don't expect bitcoin go to the moon or go to the Mars, I just want Bitcoin where it should be used. For those who want bitcoin to go up to $ 50,000 or $ 100,000 maybe, because 2017 the price of bitcoin almost 1000%. But they only use it as an investment place, it is only believed to be a place to get wealth instantly. I only want bitcoin to be used as a currency or as an alternative payment system at least. Being an investment place bitcoin will always be ostracized by some people, they only rely on bitcoin when they have high prices but when low prices they will become a people who don't like bitcoin, it's not fair.
