Insignificance of the etherum fork

To me, The Ethereum  forks will happen but to me it is insignificant with little effects cos, they have already used the fork news to achieve their aims by pumping ethereum  the last time.

But what do I know as a newbie. ?

What you should do as a newbie?

Buy ETH/BTC and just hold it. Regardless of any fork event, if you think these coins will be something big one year from now then you literally don't have to do anything. You just hold it and wait until the prices goes up. But if you are longing to be part of this fork, buy ethereum if you want to have those fork coins.

You should not buy a coin just because a fork. And the fork of Ethereum won't give you another coin like Bitcoin Cash. It is to reduce the mining reward and other things. Yes, there is 2 new projects to fork Ethereum. But they could be fake projects to steal Ethereum. And i doubt that thoses teams are better than the Ethereum team.

That's not true, the fork scheduled for tomorrow 11/01 Ethereum Classic Vision will give a 1:3 ratio of ETCV to Ethereum holders.

But they could be fake projects to steal Ethereum.

I doubt that'd be be the case with ETCV, because you aren't required to send ETH to any party or wallet in order to receive the coins, which made me think think holders still have nothing lose.

And i doubt that thoses teams are better than the Ethereum team.

A fork proposing team doesn't have to better than the original project's team before they go ahead with a fork, Forks have always been more about visions or proposed improvements to the old network or maintaining an old legacies due to lack of trust in upcoming forks. Bitcoin has numerous forks and till date I've not been convinced that any of those team has offered something better or have a better vision than what satoshi had proposed.

I love Ethereum. And I'm trying to follow closely. Yes, fork had an effect, but Ethereum already had a certain potential.

yes you are right, no matter the hardfork is there or not. buying ethereum is a good choice. Don't expect fork to provide benefits because hardfork ethereum is very different from HF bitcoin. ethereum will not give free coins after HF.

I think Ethereum may split two coins, which may be similar to BCH, but when the next bull market, only one coin will rise. Although we don't want to see it all. But the abuse of ICO has affected the future of Ethereum.

that is not the information used to pump the price of ETH, it is the phenomenon of high demand for ETH and they have to buy at high prices and the price of ETH must increase.
hard-fork this time is really important. Our ETH will have a new, more advanced face and it will help our crypto market a lot. A new smart contract will appear and I believe it will succeed.

price-wise it may not have any kind of significance because of the current market situation as it is still in "dumping mode" and has not yet stopped. and also because ETH price is still pretty high and needs to go a lot lower than this to match the demand for it with its huge supply.

but if you put price away, this fork is significant because it is a hard fork and it is changing a lot. additionally it is risky because it will break down a lot of things and also split the network into two (or 3 if you count the previous split). and that is always bad in a system like this. you always want to focus on keeping your network as healthy as possible and hard forks like this are damaging to it.

it may also be one of the reasons why Vitalik is starting to leave ethereum behind... he knows how broken it is...

Insignificant or not, it does not matter. To me, it is because I still believe in the strength of ethereum. Ethereum just got tired a little bit because of uncontrollable tokens which are using their platform. So they are upgrading to make it more even better.

if you want to invest in ETH or make profit from trade ETH it's not about fork anymore what you need to do is see a possibility and opportunity.
up or down is normal, in the most important thing is the profit you make.

It's the best chance to buy while the dip is on the floor.

Don't buy when the price goes up and you'll probably witness another dip. So the best thing to do is to buy, while we are having a dip don't be so worried about the recent dip. Actually it's good for those people like you that are thinking when to buy.

I don't agree with your opinion. It is important to understand that thanks to the ETH platform we can see a lot of good products and projects. The price of ETH is reasonable. This can not be said about bitcoin.

the price of coins on the market fell again, it looks like the fork didn't display the price of ethereum coins going up but instead made ethereum prices and ratings down again ... I didn't expect that the market situation would happen like this again.
