This is not completely proven to be a scam

We already said it.

But be very careful with them.

Unlike traditional banking where clients have only a few account numbers, with Bitcoin people can create an unlimited number of accounts (addresses). This can be used to easily track payments, and it improves anonymity.

Report in here as well in case it's needed:

I archived the page in here earlier http://archive.is/pp8Sd it may have saved that part of the code as well. I'm on the phone and cannot check.

This is not completely proven to be a scam, although there are many signs that says it is.
What proofs do you need?
Launched wallet, got caught, domain suspended, another wallet launched.

I'm surprised so many members are promoting this and it's creating a big noise here, their fork is going to happen tomorrow and we'll read more update after the fork, they have a good number of members in their channel and admins are very active, more to watch on this fork.

Never reveal your private key to any newly forked blockchain. We will know by tomorrow whether it is a scam or not. Smiley

Thanks. I wait one more and will red all of them. I'm so tired with spammer/ scammer/ stealer.... "stealer" is the good word for that one. How many n00b will get steal again ? is that normal ?

theymos can't be everywhere I know, but his forum is used for so many scam.. it's a shame.

When we want to get the forked bitcoin then we need the private key to get it. Isn't it should work the same for Ether network? Move all the coins to a new wallet before creating a wallet for ETCV.

PS: I am not saying Ethereum Classic Vision is a scam nor saying legit. I still have not done any research about it.

I don't think you need any research, this is the link of their official wallet : https://etcvwallet.com/

https://i.imgur.com/gCZvLCQ.png

Nothing much needed mday. It's proved that this is a clear scam and fishy attempt to steal our money. By the way, why no dt still red tagged the user? It would save some of the noobs from being scammed.

Now they have this site https://etcv-wallet.com/    ( its open when u click WEBWALLET link on  https://ethereumcv.io/#wallets )

Its scam or not??

Agree. They are definitely scammer while asking people for private key.
Firefox and MetaMask have put these sites on the warning list

LOL, about 620 people are involved in their signature campaign. Probably one of the biggest bounty campaign recently, that shows that so many people believed in this project - another negative hit from cryptocurrencies.

Dude,i carefully had a look at your topic (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5095750.0) and you never mentionned this there.

Lot of people are trying to find out what happened, maybe you should give a little more infos on concerned thread, don't you think ?

Adding the quote from his thread for those interested.

Not sure how it adds up but it sure seems a lot of eth got transferred to that address recently...

Hi guys,

Today I lost my ETH automatically from my ledger nano s I didn't give my private keys to anyone and my hardware was also kept secure in safe place so as my recovery sheet. I contacted ledger support and didn't get any response yet, but it is weird to see all ETH gone from it. Below is the transaction details. I think I am not going to get it back but just wondering is there any hope?  Sad Cry
