I have a good feeling about this, very soon those who still won't join the crypto train will have no choice but to rush in ,FOMO will make them jump in and it will be huge which will make bitcoin skyrocket again

Hopefully this year would be a gteat year for bitcoin. All users are waiting for that to happen.

I think many people are hoping that they will see bull run this year, just like we saw bull run in 2017. I think this is too much expectation from bitcoin as this year the price will more probably move sideways and by the end of this year we may see slight more increase in bitcoin volume and price.
If bitcoin prices moves slowly up, it will be good for bitcoin adoption.

pumped up? why do you mention that bitcoin will be pumped like crazy? while at this time the price is actually decreasing.
maybe even the price can continue to decline in the next few days.

The price did not decline, the price went stable for a while and probably will be like this until February starts, hopefully the price does not dump when February commences, not sure and don't want to assume if there will be a crazy pump or just simply a price pump when the month of Feb starts, don't want to expect too much.

Surely everyone hopes that it will not happen this month or this year, maybe there will be a surprise in the middle of the month, even though there is a lot of speculation that there will be an increase in Bitcoin prices and issue issues that there will be crazy pumps, at least we are not too confused the news, but I focused on how we can look for bitcoin before the crazy pump happened this year, if we have got enough supplies when the crazy pump comes we can enjoy the results we get from our efforts ...

Some still have hope, and maybe he is stating this based on some market observations.

I don't really expect that this year's bitcoin will pump sharply and accelerate to high prices, because doing so will take a long time, maybe in 2020 it can happen.

There is much hype and expectations on the bull run this year but no one knows what will happen in upcoming days, as far as I concern is the BTC is dumping again after pump and other Alts follow the same is the most horrible thing. Let's wait and watch the future of crypto trading.

This dump is depressing, nothing to look forward to. Adoption is not increasing, this crypto revolution we were waiting, well we have to wait forward as its not coming in.

Wont be ETF or institutions, its just down to 1000s to the before halving price.

First of all throw away all TA you have seen and every good news idea you have been waiting for. Tho I have been in crypto for a little time I have realized that all that people base on to predict the bull market are mostly untrue (at least, for now).

Now the only reason that can pump Bitcoin on the market is that, people ridiculing and price watching even though they've not bought in can pump it. What happens is that, after every bubble people look out for the "subject of topic" to collapse. If it doesn't, they come and join like crazy and that's why Bitcoin skyrocketed in 2017.

So all we have to know is that should Bitcoin pull through this mess again, lol . .we're gonna moonrocket and that'll be because all those who thought we're done forever (Haters, Press, Analysts, Economists, those who cashed out, etc) will catalyse a never seen before FOMO.

So as for me, I'm not waiting for any Bakkt, ETF, Government regulations, Institutional Investors, Venture Capitalists, etc....I'm just waiting for 2019 to pass by and we'll see.
I really agree with you and we should expect another round of pumping market maybe towards the end of second quarter of this year. If bitcoin can really go through the current mess there is no way it is not going to skyrocket. And that also means now should be the right time for us to invest in other to take advantage of future pricing.

From what I understand, the only catalyst is .. year 2020? That could make sense only because of the halving, but I tend to believe there are multiple factors needed for a "pump like crazy" and simply "year 2020" is not a valid factor.
So the halving could be one factor. We may need some more to cause the FOMO, else it'll be "just" normal growth, if any.
If you look at how the price moves, the price movement starts during the halving and within an year the price will touch an all time high, we had seen that in the past and hopefully it will continue like that in the future too, if that is the case we will see a huge pump in 2021 and we might touch another all time high during that period, this is the same cycle i am watching from the past 8 years and hopefully it will be like that in the future, with a limited data you really cannot predict everything but i really hope that is the case this time too.

There is no assurance yet for the price to have promising increase this coming February. Let's all think about it at calm emotions, and don't be so excited because frustrations cannot help us decide the right way of handling stress. If we observe a good pumps it can be a good signs but not to the point that we will catch it up and grab quickly.

You mean last year, right? The sentiment has taken a massive dip the moment we tanked from $6000 to where we are right now.

I guess that there is still some air left that needs to get out, but it seems to me that altcoins are faring pretty well where they stand right now. It's purely the Bitcoin market that's getting beaten up, while altcoins do seem to hold stronger each time Bitcoin takes a dump. With that I mean that it's no longer Bitcoin down 5% altcoins down 10-15%, but more Bitcoin down 5% altcoins down 5-7%, while altcoins still do pump much harder on the way up.

Positive aspect however is that USDT has printed over 150 million tokens in the last weeks, and the other stablecoins have printed more tokens as well, which means that there is more money in the market now.

I'm not really expecting that a bull will commence for this year. We may see more squeeze and dips but by 2020, I'm putting a bigger hope that it will be the year that bitcoin will increase like crazy.

Yes, as mentioned there will be bitcoin halving by 2020. About one more year to go.

You have to consider the other factor that could cause the sudden pump of prices, 2020 is just one of it. We will just take the time to wait for the more clearer information about of this latest news e.g. bakkt, etf, security issues, hacking, etc.

There is much hype and expectations on the bull run this year but no one knows what will happen in upcoming days, as far as I concern is the BTC is dumping again after pump and other Alts follow the same is the most horrible thing. Let's wait and watch the future of crypto trading.
Last year was like a crazy speculative war that they go crazy for an extending bearish trend while the market keeps on dropping from time to time. And that created a FOMO and FUD at the same time to most of the traders.

Data shows that the next bitcoin price increase will occur at the end of this year, we all hope that bitcoin can be pumped like crazy (as you say) and bitcoin can exceed prices in 2017.

yep, i remember saying something about that several months back---how bulls should be happy with sideways at $6k considering the alternative. a brutal multi-year bear market was always a good possibility after the exponential gains of 2017.

the $6k zone will probably be a hard ceiling due to all the bagholders from those levels. it might be like the $300 zone in 2015. we formed two major tops there (march and july 2015) before the market finally confirmed a bullish reversal.

Sideways should be indication enough for bears to leave.
When they leave the market will become positively charged.

The movement is still slow and has not completely come out of a difficult situation, and you need to be patient to wait for the pump because the market has not shown recovery.

I am not so sure about the like crazy part. I mean bitcoin doesn't have a reason to go up like crazy, it can definitely go up and my prediction is that we will close this year somewhere between 5-6 thousand dollars maybe even slightly more but that is about the extend of it, unless some crazy amount of new money gets into crypto there will not be a big increase.

The ETF deals and SEC deals makes sure that bitcoin is something people bet on and not actually buy, people will be able to buy "bitcoin will go up" or "bitcoin will go down" bets and wager on them officially thanks to the ETF without actually buying bitcoin itself which means even less money in bitcoin than before with all those people leaving bitcoin itself and going to the ETF route instead.
