nothing about "spam" is funny! and the amount of bitcoin you received is going to cost you more than it paid you or at the very least it is going to be a nuisance when you have to deselect that particular transaction output each time you want to make a new transaction so that it doesn't increase your transaction size.

not to mention that it is a new unspent transaction output which nodes have to have in their memory from now on for no reason!

Are you sure you didn't just sign up with their service or something?

I wouldn't be surprised if this was some form of welcome bonus, or may could just be an attempt at promotion by OP.

I'm not going to lie, I wouldn't think twice about finding or seeing this show up in a wallet.

I say this is no joke. Because they will not send the amount of BTC without knowing your BTC address. So, I want you to recall that. You may have participated in an airdrop campaign that was paid for with BTC.

Strange, the wallet sends bitcoins just like that. I understand that the amount is small, but still the question is why. At the moment, many transactions have been made, each of which is 0.00000546 BTC. Total was distributed in the amount of 0.02365002 BTC. Looks like Airdrop!

I think it's possible that you are following an airdrop or telegram bot that gets a salary of 500 satoshi. Then the airdrop or telegram bot pays not using satoshi but directly with bitcoin.

Look Forward

Well I have seen things like this happen more often.
It basically is a company/coin/whatever that wants to attract attentions, and sends out a large number of very small amounts to known used addresses, and hope that the receiver will check out who sent it.

Obviously, it's kinda like it is and there is no way that they know his wallet address unless he tells it to them via signing up or whatever it is just to reveal his entire address. Also, it could be a spam for those who joined something just like what some people said at the top, it might be at any airdrop group.

This usually happens with Tokens. But I do not know if it makes any sense make this with BTC. He probably has received some tip from someone from a job or service he provided.

Marketing of this kind does not make sense. The owner of the wallet will see only one address and will hardly search further as the owner, or if it is a famous wallet.

Do not mind it. But if ever the sender asks you to join a site or invest for the site he will introduce to you, then probably it is a scam. He just sent 500 satoshi just to make you believe that they are paying. 500 satoshi is just a small amount of bitcoin. Think twice and check before joining. Just keep playsafe.

No it was definitely some sort of airdrop or spammed transaction. If you follow the address it shows a long list of transactions for identical amounts.

If it was random that's not hard either. They can literally just check transactions on the blockchain and send whatever they feel like.

That's right maybe the OP didn't notice at his past activities that he partake an activity in that site or registered to that site and be part of their white list to received a payment like BTC.

Well I wouldn't also doubt the OP's memory retentiveness because he couldn't just forgot to be expecting some Bitcoin especially of such a small magnitude and be wondering so I think it could have been a mistake and the sender Probably was sending to a bunch of people and mistakenly included his address.

If it is just 500 satoshi I will not even bother it's not even a 10 cents in the market, your motive is just to promote the site I think you are the owner of that site, why not launch a promotion by giving $1 worth of Bitcoin by just subscribing to your newsletter, this is a cheap advertising.

I think this is a reward for your participation in advertising or registration for their membership. You should be happy for what you do instead of being funny.
