Scope is a coin project to bring Authors reward function to any website. We developed Web Browser extension to place Reward Widget on any website where you can post plain text, add signature or add some kind of description to any type of content. Reward Widget allows anybody who has active Extension and Wallet running locally to reward anybody who shared a XSCP signature easely. Extension connects to Wallet through RPC API calls and making payments on demand. Users w/o active extension continue seeing raw XSCP signature.

Rewards Extension
Scope Reward Extension is working on any website. User may use extension button to insert his signature into any textarea on website and publish it as simple text as part of any post or insert it manually.
Users without active Extension will see this signature as is (and may use it’s header as keyword to google for extension in case of curiosity). Users with active Extension will see current post balance (and may click on it to go to explorer to see more detailed history of rewards) and “Reward Author” button.
In case of Scope Wallet launched locally user may click on “Reward Author” button and send to author some amount of coins.
Also it is possible to place signature into Bitcoin address field on BitcoinTalk. So basically it must be TextNode in DOM:

Right now our prototype is only for Google Chrome but (and you may read about it in first post in Roadmap section) we will port it to every major browsers and put in every available Stores. There may be some issues with Safari (as usual) but Chrome + Firefox + Opera are guaranteed. After Extension codebase become stable we will port it to Firefox. Our Extension developer have experience in designing, porting and publishing cryptographic-related extensions.

Current Extension version (which is simply Proof of Concept prototype) replaces only TextNode and uses TreeWalker to do it fast. For example, a HTML code like:

So right now Extension is adapted to generic publication where you can just put some text as part of more longer article.

Sites like Facebook, Youtube etc. uses own markup over HTML and often places text into some tags directly (pseudocode):

Each such case must be handled individually. 'cause if we will test every tag on every page it will reduce performance on slow machines.

After we will finish and roll-out our fully working prototype we will start to add support for requested popular websites layout.
