I think that there was a trend from the past years that people who visited casinos were rich or that only the rich can go there and play. That is an exception because people still going to malls with their family and their kids want to play arcade games. But at other time, people will also play online gambling, and as you said, with mobile phones, they can play in everywhere they want, and they can play without anyone knows. For me they are not really the same. Gambling (whether physical or online) only got limited number of games unlike to arcade where different kind of play can be played. So it is really hard for a casinos to recover because the games there are also available in online casinos, meaning, they don't have a very strong edge. Maybe they can catch up if they will start to accept btc as a form of payment as well — a P2P transaction.
