I mean you are suggesting to ignore rest of the altcoins! In my view, Cardano and Ripple are very established currency and very popular too! That's why their rank is always in the top 10! But I think you should mention ETH too in your short list!

cant deny that both of cardano and ripple are very good stuff to invest in very long term period. i predict only a few altcoin will last until the next five year and both of them are worth of investment. But, my first option are still believe in BTC and ETH for very long term period investment, because i want to minimize the risk if sometheing will happen in the next couple year. And i consider waves are pretty good also to buy.

Holding for 5 years is too long for this volatile market as the market could go bloodbath all year. I will hold and sell my coins when it goes at peak price and buyback once it goes dip. Many good alts that can add on Cardano, I'm choosing stellar and Tron as these could also going to impress the market with their new developments. Sorry I don't have ripple this time.
