Is there any valid reason to continue gambling?

As the title itself, I’m thinking about the valid reason why gamblers continue to gamble even if they are losing a lot of money. Is it hard to understand that gambling will just make your money lose if you still continue?

So many addiction stories, people shares their losing experience and yet you are still gambling. The more you play the bigger the chance to lose the money. What is your reason to continue? Are you willing to chase your loses despite of the risk?

When comes to gambling people will not accept their lost because gambling is made up like that when we gamble it creates a think that you have won today but it will not happen for lots of people but still people continue to gamble again and again so coming depends upon the situation of the person.

I like to gamble occassionally. It's all about risk management and allocating funds you are willing to risk. Most of my crypto is stored on a Ledger so I can't access it that easily .

Fun and entertainment are the only reasons to continue gambling for me. With those two reasons, I do not need to worry of being addicted as I have my own way to get fun on gambling without worrying about losing money. That's all about self-control and self-limitation, once you can manage yourself then it is always fine to keep on gambling.

That's what I experienced too. when we think of it as entertainment, we will not have fear when we experience losing money in gambling. by considering gambling as an entertainment, we will get a rilex situation and we will even have fun. let's change the stigma in gambling, consider gambling as an entertainment and then we will be able to get a life with essential calm. Some people are also getting profit. Not everybody lose their money in gambling. Some get some lose although most of the people lose. Apart from that, people are addicted to gambling. They can't quit gambling.

They get profit but the next day you play you will lose the money you’ve won. They can’t quit gambling maybe because they are too dependent with it, but actually we can if we just push ourself to do that.

I never believe into the gamblers who are all claiming that they are gambling only for the reason of finding entertainment. Because, there are a lot of other methods and industries are available to engage ourselves for free to fair charges. But these people are preferring only gambling. Why ? Because they want to win some profits (that must be their ultimate goal hence keep trying). Then how can be sure about they are gambling only for the reason they are stating.

But if you see a friend of yours who is addicted too much in gambling then i suggest that you help him to realize what he's doing is healthy anymore.

Its kinda like asking an alcoholic to stop drinking coz its bad for their health. You'd think its not too hard to do so..but for the Alcoholic, its almost impossible. Its just addiction to gambling what causes people to keep coming back even after knowing that its bad for them. I personally suffer from it too. Although, Im not at a loss but I'd still like to stop when Im in profits. Its close to impossible though. Just sad state of affairs when it comes to self control.

That depends from person to person  . some continue because they enjoy playing for fun while some continue in the hopes of earning a quick profit  .   i guess im with the one that continues for profit  .

I dont mind spending some satoshi's just to try my luck on getting the pot money .  good thing that i never get addicted to it because i kept myself busy on so many different things  every single day   .

That was the best thing we can do for the people who are addicted to gambling — tireless advising and undestanding. They should be the one who act first because we don't have the right to interfere a person's will and personal life as a whole, what can we only do is to guide them and make them realize that what he is doing ruins his life.

I am sure it depends on the gamblers itself. But still, it's not worth to continue if his purposes are just to chase the winning money because it will need the luck to win. But if he decides to enjoy the game without any effort to get the money, then I think it's fine, and he can continue gambling although he needs to know that the risk of losing money will always there. It's better to determine how much the money we want to use so we know when the time to stop.

like you have rightly said people are addicted to gambling and some of them fine it very difficult to break that habit.  The gambler believe that he is going to makes money and that is why they can go and borrow money and put it in gambling.

If after experiencing a great lost, a person still continues, then his motivation must have pursued the loss and that would have big consequences. In such conditions it would be very difficult for the gambler to forget his previous loss. Stop is the wise decision at such cases, but I doubt the person will choose it. It would be better for us to avoid to get such situation by not playing beyond our limits.

I do see almost all gamblers are falling into these two category itself. It means there could not be any possibility of having different reasons. Even some gamblers will be having some different unique reason, if we go for analyzing them then we may find their reasons also related into these two broadly classified reasons.

Even the gamblers who are all gambling for entertainment only, will not prefer to go for free of cost base based gambling because they want to spend their hard earned money so that they can find the real heat of gambling. But I do see they are all really looking for chances for profit making but announcing themselves as fun seeking gambler. Almost all the gamblers are having one of these 2 reasons as internal reason but showcasing themselves with the different one.

I realized gambling would only lose more money, but gambling was difficult for me to leave. Why? because I just keep trying my luck in gambling for the umpteenth time, I don't care if I have taken a losing streak and I don't gamble just for fun like many people here do it, I gamble just to make a profit, if I don't get profit then I'll pause a few days from gambling, but if I get a profit then that's the real pleasure I can feel, even though I realize that profit won't cover my loss so far in gambling.

Because of that hope that someday you will earn more through gambling, you didn’t realize that you already lose a lot of money. Having fun is different in chasing your loses, I think its more on betting higher to get profit which is sometimes not happening. I can see here a lot of reason why people continue to gamble, and I’m convinced that gambler are ready to take more risk just to take back the money.

Everybody needs a hobby, and while its probably more addictive than collecting model trains, its still less addictive than crack or heroin!

If you figured out a way to consistently win at something, say sports gambling, then sure there's a financial motive to continue. However, let's face it: most of us don't fall in that category.

I would say a lot of crypto investing is just a slightly more sophisticated form of gambling -- the line between the two is very murky. At least with provably fair gambling you know what odds you're actually getting, ICO investing or coin trading can't offer you that.
