Thank you for providing this information - it would seem the "Cryptopia Rescue" is not a genuine thing and great care should be exercised by anyone being contacted by that organisation.

@condoras - please keep your post so that we can have as full a picture of what has transpired as possible.

@Timelord2067, maybe i'm adding 2 + 2 to get 5, but to me it sounded like 'Cryptopia Rescue' was a bunch of immature and impatient individuals who were more upset with Grant Thorton's fees charged for their efforts.

Not sure if it is "legit" or not... There does not appear to be any update on the Grant Thornton website regarding this "portal".

I contacted Grant Thornton directly to enquire as to whether they have indeed setup the "Claims Portal" (it links to a .cryptopia.co.nz domain) or if it is some third-party that is attempting to harvest user info/login details etc.

Will update when I receive a reply.

Same e-mail received as well. I make a step further with this and "sign-up" to see what is all about. I didn't take any pics (foolish of me) from the process but it's not worth mentioning this because is a "simple" signup. The only difference is that you have to accept a T&C informing that your credentials will be used for verifying you with your Cryptopia account. Since though this is not a discussion thread, I post my experience to Cryptopia's main thread.

@Timelord2067: Ofc I will. I also did the step further with them as well ("Cryptopia Rescue") and I can post pic(s) of what will anyone see, as well as what they "need" in order to...rescue our funds. Yes, they want a fee. I will edit my post later on with pic(s), if that's ok with you.

Thanks for that much data and help providing on this thread. I also lost my account on that exchange and yesterday one of the member gave me the link of this thread.

It is really bad to hear that the employee were involved in that hack from the exchange. They hurt us a lot.
