https://twitter.com/jimmy_wales/status/442973660220239872I propose that Andreas travel to Jimmy's location of Mr. Wales' choosing, and have a long sit-down lunch or dinner, during which time Andreas Antonopoulos schools Jimmy Wales on Bitcoin. Hell, Jimmy could even film the event and dub it "My Lunch with Andreas" reminiscent of some movie having a similar title. Seriously, any media exposure during a said event would be welcoming, but is not a requirement for such meeting to take place. Andreas would be more than welcome to solicit donations via bitcoins to help offset any expenses incurred for such a meeting. Bitcoin 100 is on record in stating that a $1,000 USD via BTC will be donated to Wikipedia once it starts accepting donations via bitcoins. Taxing my memory, there's a thread or two somewhere on this forum depicting another chuck of change that was garnered that will go toward the same cause once said occurs. Please weigh in, and somebody please bring this thread to Andreas' attention. ~Bruno Kucinskas

According to NIST and ECRYPT II, the cryptographic algorithms used in
Bitcoin are expected to be strong until at least 2030. (After that, it
will not be too difficult to transition to different algorithms.)

Bitcoin is a decentralized entity
Funny how some people can't live without centralization and always need someone to "represent" them... ask Andreas to talk to Jimmy Wales??? Andreas is BTC president or something?
Also I think Jimmy Wales is intelligent enough to make his own decisions.

Andreas doesn't represent anyone but himself and his perception of bitcoin - which the majority of people here seem to agree with. He's an excellent public speaker and extremely knowledgeable on the topic. He's not president, king, ruler, supreme being etc..., if he came out tomorrow saying he stole all of mtgox's funds bitcoin will still be here regardless and there's one less respectable user.

Another shameless bump. Thanks for chiming in all, to date, regardless of your stance on this issue (and only this issue, please).

Jimmy already got bought... I mean he already solicited some donations. We got him in the back pocket.

I can not help but be in agreement with you. I've found rather shocking how little Wales knows about bitcoin. FWIW I would have expected more from the Wikipedia founder.

Andreas's knowledge of Bitcoin and his ablity to explain it is why he was suggested. The man is brilliant.
