Chevron, Total and Indian refiner Reliance Industries have joined their rivals in a new venture to bring blockchain into energy trading.

The oil majors will become users of Vakt, a London-based platform for trading Brent crude oil using the technology behind bitcoin.

They become the second round of investors in the project, which intends to launch publically early this year.

Transactions must be included in a block to be properly completed. When you send a transaction, it is broadcast to miners. Miners can then optionally include it in their next blocks. Miners will be more inclined to include your transaction if it has a higher transaction fee.

I wonder if there will be some type of STO for this, i am guessing it will attract a lot of interest if they did. However, it looks like they are just using the technology rather than creating tokens. When they are ready, perhaps fast platforms like EOS and Cardano will be ready for commercial use

Obviously, those guys doesn't need to go to a STO, they're just creating a Blockchain to really help them improve more their productivity and business decisions specially if they can have the needed data in time. They are exploring this technology and maybe we can see big companies in the future following as well. We all know Blockchain is a game changer and they don't want to be left alone in this new revolution.
