All of us know and believe that satoshi nakamoto is the creator of the bitcoin, we believed in that for years now without seeing him, without knowing if he really exists, and without knowing if he was a real person or a company stands behind that name. since we have no clue about it and since he has been out of spot lights for years, thats enough to make us doubt about the idendity of the real creator of this currency and who did really bring it to the world, its true it solved a lot of banking problems and made the transactions faster than they were, but still, we need to know the brain behind this idea that changed many lives.

In my personal opinion, i dont rule out NSA ( National Security Agency ) was behind all of this, they have the biggest cryptography offices in the world using a super high quality processors, and some say they even use Quantum Computer which can process billions of informations in a single second, this kind of computers is too expensive, and thats why NSA spends a very large salary on researches, and thinking of that they were the creators of the bitcoin is more realistic than it was one person ! they can treat tons of informations, break most of the hashes in a short time, encrypt and decrypt whatever they want !so bringing a new world currency to lead the world and to controll all the markets, is a verry realistic idea .

And as i said in the beggining this is my very own opinion, i hope we discuss about it more Smiley

why would they do it and what would they gain from it?
besides if NSA created bitcoin for real then why make it open source? they have a tendency of inserting backdoors into stuff without letting anyone know so that they can "break them" if they want. and being open source means they can not do that because we already know everything that bitcoin does!

Well this is a very old misconception going on about the creation of bitcoin. A lot of people said that NSA is behind it and a lot of people said that Russian Detective agency is behind it. But similarly, there was no proof found about it! My questions is that, why would NSA do such things? What is their end goal? If I had to believe that NSA is behind it then I will also have to believe that NSA actually helped a lot of people worldwide to become a millionaire. What would they gain from it? Think through and you won't get a feasible reason to believe it.

It's more convincing to believe that a computer scientist created this bitcoin. It is great that the creator is not known to the public. Otherwise, he will have to sped the rest of his life behind the bars. Do you think it is the correct treatment for the creator of bitcoin who actually helped a lot of people to become millionaire? I guess NO! So my earnest request is that, please don't try to find him and let him live his life in peace and serenity!

and what if they have a key to know and to track every single transaction ? and to access to all the addresses, the Quantum Computers uses the Q bits which makes it very possible to break any hash that was impossible to be broken by the simple computers (i cant explain what Q bit is because its a very long topic ). and what they gain from it ? isnt it enough to controll all the markets in the world, and to access to all the accounts from a single place ?

that is not how bitcoin works. you can't "track transactions" by having a "key"! you are imagining stuff. not to mention that there are easier ways of tracking bitcoin transactions and finding who an address belongs to since bitcoin is not designed to be anonymous!

that is another discussion. you are basically questioning strength of Elliptic Curve Digital Signatures wit the 256 bit curve that bitcoin uses. and it is not possible to break that with today's quantum computers even those that NSA may have hidden away.

I don't think they would do that. The fact is that some people used Bitcoin to make illegal purchases on the Internet before, and all this went unpunished. If Bitcoin were created by a state-owned company, the result of illegal activities would be completely opposite.

Okay, this is proof thay people are really getting wiser now. I think preservatives do affect the brain of a human.

It aint new that one genius creation is being questioned and the credit is being taken to another institution just so to make another hypothesis to fool people.

No, I dont think so.
NSA would not do that. It will risk their position and all their hard work. Besides, what do they get from it?
Why not just swallow the truth and believe that there is a time one human can take the risk to develop one thing even if it will cost him his time.
Credits to all his effort.

you are suggesting that NSA made a P2P opensource currency that can end their Surveillance Business?

it is not just that, but also the whole new areas that bitcoin opened up for us. before bitcoin there were no altcoins, there were no anonymous coins such as Monero for example. nobody was even imagining a peer to peer money that doesn't need government to issue it! and bitcoin made all of that possible.

SELinux is free open source... With the source, you can check out if there are any backdoors and remove them. So there is your precedent. I wouldn't mind using any of their projects as long as they are free open source...

I think i remember reading some news about more of their computer forensic tools getting released in this manner. They also released an encryption algorithm that made it into the Linux kernel, but it was found to be flawed and was removed. So there, the community is not letting bogus or backdoor ridden stuff on their systems, which is why access to the source code is so important. No code, no auditing. Anything goes.

There is people in this forum using software that can never be audited, and some are foolish enough to trust money to it...

Whether the NSA was involved or not, bitcoin and all blockchain-based coinage is rife with ways for the NSA to track, decrypt, and manipulate.

This has been brought up countless of times already, and all people have are supposed evidence of a link between Satoshi and the feds/NSA, but no convincing proofs have been brought to the table so far. If the NSA indeed created bitcoin, for what reason and purpose? Also, why leave the code open-source and let people snoop the hell out of the code and modify it to their heart's delight? IMO, they wouldn't gain anything from this experiment, except knowing a couple developers who know something about what they're doing, and perhaps take a watchful eye on them.

It is not important who created Bitcoins, the more important is theirsecurity. Suppose if NSA is behind the invention of cryptocurrencies and they also have Quantum computers which can retrieve bulk of info in a few second, then the main thing to concern is about our transactions’ security. Are they really safe  Huh

We will never know who is behind the creation of Bitcoin.

What do you think, if bitcoin is created by the NSA. Why did they do it?  I think that bitcoin was created by an enthusiast who is no longer alive

If NSA or any similar to that really did created Bitcoin, it would make sense that they would be able to trace those illegal transactions because they know how Bitcoin works, but how come they are having a hard time doing it? It's clear that they didn't created Bitcoin.
