That's how it works here, some were granted a loan even without collateral but they are those who are trusted in the forum. I'm actually running a lending business and I can lend with or without collateral at my own judgement, you can check my thread.

You actually get what you seek for in terms of lending and you have to follow the lending rules and regulations of the forum because you're a newbie account holder which some people called throwaway account.
Lpim01, will also ask for tangible collateral at the end of day cause a lot of people have abuse the lending system and if you get what you wanted, you can try some online sites which offered such services.

That's in the agreement of the loan control although there's really no contract just like in the real world where you need to sign.
If the lender will trust you then most likely you'll loan application will get approved and if you otherwise willing to entrust your collateral, that would transfer the risk to you since the lender are insured with the asset he can sell in case you default.

What makes collateral good for lending is it is not something the person wants to sell. If they didn't care about the collateral they would just sell it. But they want to keep it so it shows the lender they are more than likely going to pay back because it's something they care about, and if they don't pay back the lender is covered with the collateral. The person getting the loan also doesn't have to sell something they want to keep just because they need temporary cash.
