Although I have to ask, how do you intend to obtain the loan funds once you know his identity?

Considering the amounts involved I think a savage beating is in order.

Loan request: "I need 7 BTC because We hired an archaelogist and asked him: Is there a treasure? And he said yes!"

Thank you all for your comments.
No collateral, Yes I am stupid, please, this is not the point here!
I would like to know any piece of information on him that I can't get from his profile here.

Whatever info you find on the account creator is probably not going to be the same person that scammed you. I have been seeing a few people selling older senior and hero member accounts. It could easily be one of those situations (or hacked account as another person stated).
Either way, sounds rough.

I don't believe this is the case,
He had a newsletter https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=509527.0
And he used the email written in his profile to send the news letters.
Also, If you follow the bitcoins I sent him it seems they ended up in an exchange or something like that
and not stored in some private persons wallet.
May be I'm naive (again) but I think that something may have happen to him and the coins are stuck in one of the exchanges
and all I need to do is find out where they are.

bump

sorry about this. I wondered what had happened to arepo. His TA posts were often valuable and he really did seem like a nice genuine guy. I also got the feeling that his gmail was actually his real name, but the question would be is he in UK or US. I guessed US. I also saw him as fairly young, having just graduated a physics degree or something similar (he was forthcoming about this on many occasions), but not into post grad yet.

That's the best I can offer. I didn't read the context of the loan, but I guess even the seemingly nicer people can be swayed by greed

well 5btc without collateral was a big bet, and in such cases odds are high that you will probably lose your btc unless you know borrower personally.

things are adding up.

guy with little money is loaned a large amount of money with zero collateral. Libertarian I might add. All the power to him.

shame, I assumed he was a "good member of this community"...

I honestly can't say I wouldn't be tempted myself though in his position

Have you tried getting his IP address through gmail?  It might give you some more information about his identity.
