Satoshi's bitcoin-paper is recommended reading for anyone studying how Bitcoin works.
If you are not native English speaker this announce may be helpful.

In 18/01/2019, 13 new languages' bitcoin-paper was uploaded on bitcoin.org!
https://bitcoin.org/en/bitcoin-paper

★NEW★
・Bahasa Indonesian (Indonesian)
・Deutsch (German)
・Français (French)
・Lietuvių Kalba (Lithuanian)
・Magyar Nyelv (Hungarian)
・Português (Portuguese)
・Português Brasileiro (Brazilian Portuguese)
・ελληνικά (Greek)
・Tiếng Việt (Vietnamese)
・العربية (Arabic)
・한국어 (Korean)
・日本語 (Japanese)
・简化字 (Chinese)

As one of translators, I wish a lot of people are interested in Satoshi's paper through those translations.

However it will be difficult for beginners to understand it if they don't have technical backgrounds.
So, I want to recommend everyone to read Satoshi's post on bitcointalk.
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=3;sa=showPosts

I have been trying to translate his post in Japanese same as doing bitcoin-paper because almost 95% of Japanese hesitate to read English.
In your country, Satoshi's post has been translated? Have you finished to read his post?

Unlike traditional banking where clients have only a few account numbers, with Bitcoin people can create an unlimited number of accounts (addresses). This can be used to easily track payments, and it improves anonymity.

I see my language listed there, and this is great when they update more languages. I realize that this may be a list of countries with significant levels of bitcoin adoption. I hope that there will be more updated languages in the future.

It is a good news because it will make bitcoin be known by more people, people will read the first hand text, and they will learn not rumors or speculation only pure realities about main idea of bitcoin. If people learn realities about bitcoin, they will have chance to evaluate what bitcoin really is and what kind benefits it can provide to us.

It's nice seeing the translation in different languages, just want to ask a question: When will the white paper be translated into one of the major African languages?. This third world continent must be well inducted into the bitcoin ideology so they get to think about the direction of future finance. Thanks.

i am sensing you are from Africa, so why haven't you already translated the paper into your own language and why wait for others to do it when you can do it yourself?
the pull request is here: https://github.com/bitcoin-dot-org/bitcoin.org/pull/2809
and here is the repository of the translations: https://github.com/wbnns/bitcoinwhitepaper
you can go there and start translating and adding it to the others. after review it will be added.

Glad to see Bitcoin paper available on more language, thank you for all contributors Smiley. BTW, it's already available on GitHub since few months ago

I just read Bahasa Indonesian (Indonesian) version and the translation is great, even though it's a bit stiff due to technical terms.

Thank you for your kind words.
Yes, some languages' translations was actually available on GitHub.
However, many ordinary people can easily check bitcoin-paper by this update.

I see my language listed there, and this is great when they update more languages. I realize that this may be a list of countries with significant levels of bitcoin adoption. I hope that there will be more updated languages in the future.

I partly agree with your opinion. There may be other countries which has certain levels of bitcoin adoption.
For example, these countries have boards on bitcointalk but their bitcoin-paper has not been uploaded to bitcoin.org.

・Hrvatski (Croatian)
・עברית (Hebrew)
・India
・Nederlands (Dutch)
・Pilipinas
・Polski
・Română (Romanian)
・Skandinavisk
・Türkçe (Turkish)

If these languages people see my thread please think to translate bitcoin-paper.
It will help to boost the right recognition of bitcoin in each country.

Thank you. It's what I really wanted to say.
In addition to pooya87's information, there are requests to add 3 languages' translations now.
https://github.com/wbnns/bitcoinwhitepaper/issues

Kurdish-Sorani language's translation will be added soon.
If Leonardo7 want to see African languages' translation it may also be good idea to add an issue on above's link.

but I’m also really surprise to see it still only translated to so few languages, most useless shitcoins have translated there whitepaper to more language, than the Bitcoin whitepaper that started it all, this is strange.

Those coins offer rewards to those who translate their whitepapers into different languages, this reward is often in their tokens.

Translating the bitcoin whitepaper is voluntary and there is no incentive to do so, besides spreading the word and encouraging more participation, this in turn helps Bitcoin grow, and is a good reward for holders and enthusiastis.

the purposes are different.
when those shitcoins translate their paper into different languages they want to spread the word as much as they can so that they can get more victims to pump it biggest so they can dump on more number of people and make more profit. not to mention that they premine their coins or it is ICO so it is premined by definition and pay with the free tokens they have made out of thin air without cost. and don't forget that their design is  a centralized design so there is someone in the center with money in his pocket to do these things.
we have none of that in bitcoin!

I think you can find people in all most every country, that have become millionaires from there Bitcoin investment, some people even got there Bitcoin for free, but still none of the early adapters, or the many traders who came on later, have spend a few days to translate the Bitcoin whitepaper that make them millionaires into their own local  language.
The world have 195 different countries, everyone in those counties should have access to the official Bitcoin whitepaper in their own local  language.

13 translators' works were introduced by Coinpost which is one of the most influential Japanese crypto currency news site Shocked
https://coinpost.jp/?p=65474

They might have seen my tweet about translation.
https://twitter.com/hakkame7/status/1086284281192693760

They might check this thread because I told them that I had asked Bitcointalk's members to translate other language.

I read the white paper through my local language "Arabic" but I noticed that there is difficulty in understanding, especially for those who read it for the first time and have no experience in [Bitcoin or cryptos] or did not read the version in English.

The problem lies in the translation of terms. The terms must be defined in the local language and not translated verbatim.

I do not know whether this is a problem for the rest of the translations or that the person who translated the Arabic language does not have enough cryptocurrency experience.

as someone who has done translations (not bitcoin related) I have to say, translating something into another language is always a hard task. people spend ages to master this skill to be able to produce a good translation. because you always have to be careful to convey the message instead of converting it. and when the topic becomes technical the task becomes even harder.
with that said I am sure many of those who attempted translating the bitcoin paper aren't skilled translators but simple enthusiasts trying to help others. my suggestion is that if you found some mistakes and think you can improve them, then try suggesting them on bitcoin.org's github repository in form of an issue.

I find it very cool that many people who do not speak English can read this information freely in their native language. In light of recent events, we should spread the word about bitcoin, should convey its importance to people.

Cool! I'm surprised to see that Bitcoin White-paper was translated to my language - Lithuanian. It's pleasure to read it in my native language. Kudos to guy who translated it!
It's important to have most important Bitcoin document translated to as many languages as possible. Not everyone have perfect knowledge of English, so it can be difficult to read all these technical terms. But it's strange to see that there are no translations in Russian, Hindi and some other languages, where therei id big Bitcoin communities in these countries.

・Français (French)
・Español (Spanish)
・Italiano (Italian)
・Svenska (Swedish)
・Pyccкий (Russian)

I hope other languages' translation to be uploaded to bitcoin.org because it is most historical and famous site of Bitcoin.

Bitcoin whitepaper has been translated into Hindi for the first time.

https://news.bitcoin.com/satoshis-bitcoin-whitepaper-is-now-available-in-arabic-and-hindi/

This fact was announced in World Economic Forum(@Davos) on Jan.22.
Hindi is most popular language in India, so this announce will make a big influence.
