Although the US government says internet gambling is illegal, the gambling game will continue and they will find out to figure out how to keep playing with safe. With the internet connection available in many places and with so many VPN that people can use, I am sure that they could still play even in the Darkweb. People could still use cryptocurrency as long as they can hide their IP from the US government scanner so they can play and place the bet.
I don't think the government can stop internet gambling in their country, people could just use any private network such as ToR if they want to bypass the crypto banning in gambling.
It's just about time the US government should make call to change or implement such rules to their people so that won't have any problem in the future.

Yes, I am sure they will find a way to continue playing gambling. It still difficult to stop the gambling online because the websites is not hosted in the US hosting websites and the owner of the gambling site will use foreign hosting to host their sites. Gambling online itself is like a virus which will influence many people to play and it's hard to stop them unless the US government stop the internet connection and they are allow the traditional gambling for the people.

By now most people have heard about this, https://www.bloomberg.com/news/articles/2019-01-15/u-s-now-says-all-online-gambling-illegal-not-just-sports-bets.

We all know that Crypto currency online gambling sites are rampant on the internet and it adds loads of demand for Crypto currency on the Internet.

Some of these sites are legal, but a large amount of them are operating illegally. The possible prohibition on internet gambling in the US will have a significant impact on the price of Crypto currencies that are used for gambling.

Do you think legal operations will close their doors and move underground?
Do you think it will only have a limited impact on Crypto currency prices?
Will these operations move to countries that allow online gambling?
Will online gambling evolve into illegal sites on the Darkweb?

Let's discuss.  Sad

Personally, I don't see this having any significant effect on crypto gambling because this will not be the first time of hearing about how the government in United States have criminalized online gambling with fiat so crypto gambling has never been accepted in the country. I wonder why the ban would then have any effect. Another reason again is that majority of the online crypto gambling sites have by default exempted US citizens from their customer base which means technically, they were never their clients and with this new law, it does not change anything.

No impact by my opinion
Most of bitcoin casinos don't ask for KYC and people very well know how to use VPN
It is true that you can play using a VPN but there are instances where the site will not allow to withdraw the amount if you have won big citing that you are from US and they will show you the terms and conditions about how players from US are not allowed to use the site, so be careful with these scenarios.

I think US is trying to save its offline gambling industry through these changes. Otherwise I see no good reason for suddenly changing its stance towards online gambling! Prohibiting interstate transaction is just a lame excuse!
May be that is the case, the big corporate gambling houses are pushing for these bans and restriction as online gambling has become a billion dollar industry and the profit these online sites earn are just well above the real casinos earn.

Do you really know how to use a vpn ?   Vpn allows you to change you ip and location .  you can also choose different location not only u.s    .   if the gambling site restricts a certain country then better identify it first   .

The bans is not about money  and online casinos arent really popular than the real ones  .  elder and more mature people also find it easy to play on real casinos , thats why real casinos have still got more income that the online versions .

You can gamble without any kyc, then just put your coins in a mixer to avoid being identified as an American
true mostly gambling site doesn't require KYC so it's definitely impossible  that american can determine the players around the internet. actually even though it's restricted no one can stop ppl who have addiction in gambling indeed , because there's always  another ways for it ."the common mindset of some people who have addiction in gambling".  Lol

What if your wallet was tracked by government? We can't say it is not going to happen with every citizen but the people who withdrew huge money into wallet may get noticed and the wallets from gambling sites can also be identified.Even mixing the coins have no assurance that it will be completely anonymous.

Ofcourse it has a huge effect on the gambling world. I see this things particularly.
1. People would not be gambling freely obviously.
2. Gambling would not been removed because even its illegal, people would still play.
3. Bets will be more higher since the risk gets higher also.
4. ICO related gambling would decrease.

I don't think it will affect gambling a lot as I don't think it will hit crypto websites but rather only Fiat casinos. May be in the future they will target crypto in the future but for the moment it should be safe. Crypto mixers can easily hide your identity with a simple VPN.

Definitely, US is one of the places on the planet with a highest population in other words a lot of people also into gambling and also US is one of the advanced country which have an internet connection. Any person on the internet no matter what their age, sexual preferences and status in life can play online gambling and can create an account without verification in cryptocurrency gambling and so many people are into this and if they if the prohibition of internet gambling have been implemented... There's really an effect to the cryptocurrency industry.
Quote
Do you think legal operations will close their doors and move underground?
There's a high possibility since they're earning a lot in gambling industry and of course big companies will do anything to continue their business.
Quote
Do you think it will only have a limited impact on Cryptocurrency prices?
We are not sure about it, but there's a lot of gamblers in the cryptocurrency industry and there may be an effect to it.
Quote
Will these operations move to countries that allow online gambling?
Another alternative I guess and maybe one of the possible solutions but I think there's a lot of process doing it if you're moving to different country isn't? and I think it will cost some money too.
Quote
Will online gambling evolve into illegal sites on the Darkweb?
Possible, however most of the gamblers doesn't have enough knowledge about diving into Darkweb and how does it work their niches are in surface web.

I think that many gamblers will continue to gamble on online Casinos anyway.
Most of them do not reside in the us, and even in us it's still possible.
You can gamble without any kyc, then just put your coins in a mixer to avoid being identified as an American
Since Gamblers from US are aware of this issue,i think they are finding ways now to have option incase this will become reality, and as what you’ve said then everything will just be fine though at first we can’t deny that market will be shaken for a while but with adjustments for sure all will back to normal in just a few

What's the point of such online gambling ban?Do they want to gather more tax revenue,or it's just because the online gambling industry is competing with the "brick-and-mortar" gambling industry in Las Vegas and Atlanta. The crypto gambling websites will just go offshore, off course.

It is really unfair for the United States government to ban online crypto gambling, I guess they get their bribes from Vegas casinos.  Corruption is everywhere.

A lot of players from the USA just use vpns anyways but if they run a kyc you are screwed.

If it become necessary for those gambling site to move out their company from USA for them to remain in business they have to do so. And I don't think a ban in such business in one country can affect the market value of Bitcoin significantly in the world over. If such policy has been implemented in US other countries may not follow suit because some policy difference in most country of the world.

I don't think that will have any negative effect on Bitcoin but maybe a positive effect, most Crypto gambling sites are decentralized and some of them do not require an email registration, this might only drive people from licensed gambling sites to the decentralized sites and they are a lot, banning online gambling might drive online gambler that does not know about Crytpo to start to use Crypto to be able to gamble.

I think most of the good Gamblers will be in US so when the online internet gambling will be banned on the country it made the lots of currency to be sudden fall down and the market will be shaken with the band it definitely be possible when the Us ban on internet gambling.

Governments are always trying to censor people into doing things that they should not do. In my opinion these are only methods to manipulate people into thinking that the government cares for the future of their country while actually they are not doing much for it. A gambler will always remain a gambler no matter how you try to stop the popularity of casinos or try to stop them from playing.

Once the addiction has settled deep inside them they will continue to find out new ways to circumvent blockades because they need to ease the pain of withdrawal.

But unfortunately, not all people in the government really cares for the future. Gamblers will continue playing gambling and if somehow, the government ban on internet gambling, gamblers will find a way to stay connected with the gambling websites. I am sure that there will be one service offers to gamblers to help them if they want to withdraw their money without any problem so gamblers can play gambling and they don't have trouble to sending the win money to their bank account.

USA is a big country and banning of internet will really affect bitcoin price because most gambling sites are now using bitcoin to gamble.  I hope that should not even happen in the first place and we should be able to still gamble online from USA.

It will have bad impact on both cryptocurrency and the online gambling. Price will face a reduction because at least 1/10th of the real use of cryptocurrency is in gambling which means the real usage will drastically dropped. So, it will reduce the demand and eventually at the price. Also, gambling industry could have a great future but with the restriction, no chance of flourish.
But it will only effect part of gambling operation here in crypto space because US is not representing the whole gambling system of using cryptocurrencies so maybe there are effect but not enough to bring big impact so I believe that we  will be only shaken for a while but sooner the market will stabilize again.

Gambling operator will never stop to find ways for operation so expect some movements from US to other countries that has no regulation for gambling or those government that can be bribed to allow their businesses

Not sure about USA law's , but as long as crypto is not ''Money'' then gambling with crypto does not count as gambling =D Because there is ''nothing to lose '' , crypto is not money ( Thats what TV , goverment tells ) .
In my country crypto is Item and when i trade with someone then i need to pay tax on that trade ...
There is always roundabouts and will be .. Somebody will find a way to build gambling sites for US even if they BAN it ...
