I am looking at investing with this " bot" I am a complete rookie when it comes to investing

In Crypto can any experienced investors who have been using DM offer any advice, such as

the pros and cons, and is now a good time to join?

Cheers

I do believe BOTs are the best way to go especially when you are still a newbie.
I would advice to first learn the trading basics through various source available on the web... after that is maybe when you can consider using a bot though i personally don't believe in trading with bots.
Some people have learnt the art of manipulating the market and this in turn puts the users who use bots for trading in losses.

the short answer is you should not "invest" in that bot.

basically when you are a newbie, you should stay away from using any kind of trading bots because they will NOT help you at all. no matter what they are. bots are not magical tools to make profit for you, you still have to have some experience in trading and specifically about the market that you are entering before you attempt making any profit.

but also checking out the topic of this bot you are advertising here, it doesn't seem to be that popular. which means it may not even be legitimate and best case scenario is that it has bugs that leads to your money loss.

Did you mean this "bot" mentioned in "[BOT] Moon Bot - trading terminal for Bittrex and Binance"?
Searching for replies in that topic will give you an overview of it.

Quote the main objective of their announcement

The main goal of the bot is to make a reasonable decision, is it worth buying a pumping coin, If yes then
buy a coin as fast as possible at the very beginning of a pump and sell fast with profit.
Buying a "pumping coin" or deciding to speculate on it is a high-risk investment. You need to be an investor with enough experience to minimize losses. In your case, you are gambling more than investing.

The level of risk does not stop at your decisions but extends to the possibility of bugs in the programming of that bot and in your computer.

Why trading bots? They are risky too ,I have bad experience with trading bots in the past I'd say stay away from them for now and use your time to learn real trading and make sure you are ready to take risks before jumping in ,I've stop trading because I'm not good at it ,I always lose money in the end

if you want to start trading then it is an excellent time to begin because it is the hardest time to make profit and you will be forced to learn instead of being fooled into thinking you are an expert just because you took a couple of shots in the dark and make profit. like all those who entered in 2017 and thought themselves to be experts and then 2018 shattered their illusions.

as for the bot, I wouldn't touch that one if I were you. it is too specific and it doesn't seem to be working as you think it is. the idea behind it is feasible but the bot itself is not. and the lack of interest in it looking at its topic makes that very clear.

now if that was open source then it would have been a bit more different.

Thank you very much for taking the time to reply and for your feedback and advice is appreciated. Are you an investor yourself? I was actually
recommended Destination Moon by a colleague who is an MBA at Wharton funnily enough. Cheers Tony

Just to be used as stuff for your experience you can try it, I have tried what you wanted but I failed and I made this an experience to be avoided for the second time. Investing/trading aims to get profit but to get the profit you need an effort to reach it. Don't just rely on someone else, avoid needing it because you will get used to doing negatives. I think there are lots of books, articles and other discourse that you can make as reference stuff, understand the important factors for trading or investing and you will get the desired profit.

you should try yourself - not depending on a bot. but you can semi-automate your trading on eToro.

I would start finding new friends if I were you or stop taking investment advice from them. maybe that is just me but the more I look at that bot the less convinced I am about it being any good. and to answer your question, yes I have been trading for a while now. I don't claim to be an expert by any means though, I am just saying what I see.

I disagree, in the past there were poker bots out there that could play poker for you but you still needed to code the way they played so if you did not knew how to be a profitable player the poker bot will do nothing for you and the same applies to trading bots, unless you are a profitable trader then having a trader bot will do nothing for you since you still need to adjust it depending on the market conditions or adjust the way you will prefer the bot to trade.

Learning the basics is not enough, you need at first to learn how to make profits in the market, once you know how to do that then you could buy a bot or have one created for you.

bots are often buggy, there are a lot of flaws, it’s dangerous to inquire into them, and it’s not necessary, because there is so much to invest in, but those methods have at least been tested.

As a newbie the best option would be to invest monthly only what you can afford to lose.

Investing something monthly can be a wise decision as opposed to buying everything in one batch (due to the price fluctuations). If you can afford it I would suggest investing some of it. However, I would diversify into some of the most popular cryptocurrencies. So besides Bitcoin, you might also want to consider Ethereum and go from there.

Good luck!
