I do not see any logical application of this currency

It was a good way to fundraise some money (team took 10%, undoubtedly sold some when it reached 0.05 ETH/per) and set up: https://xio.network/ Nicely done now to perpetual income as long as new tokens thrive.

Another problem is that the people do not learn their lesson falling to the trap of scammers again and again. Though sometimes is it not easy to see the true intentions of the project but you can always check its foundation. If it is written all over empty, then don't expect that it survive long. You need to get out as fast as you can if you noticed the impending situation. Empty foundation doesn't lead to success at any cost.

@tippytoes not necessarily a scam - perhaps one can argue unethical. Though there is a demand for 'new projects' for new money people now have. At the same time there are whales that may see it as a useful pump/dump coin to defraud people (and this would be the crucial element if one argues it's a scam - but again people know this happens which is why they participate in trading).
