Is Coinbase Telegram Group existed?

I researched and found out that coinbase has no Telegram chat support, but one day, I see this group https://t.me/coinbase_chat, they talk about Coinbase Information and support everyone here enthusiastically.
Is it a real Coinbase Group?

It's not an official coinbase's telegram group. If CB has its own group and it might have informed to the all of users through put the telegram icon to the website. If there was no a telegram icon and that means coinbase doesn't have a telegram group.

Don't get attracted by the fake groups,they are created for the purpose of scamming through giveaways which happened with blockchain too few weeks back.

Coinbase don't have telegram for now, at least that what i can found on their faq, idk if thats outdated.

Coinbase is NOT currently active on Telegram and any entity making claims or representations that they are affiliated with Coinbase Support are unauthorized to do so and should NOT be trusted.

You should stay away from that group, it can probably scam you or sharing fake news about coinbase. Stay careful.

I've checked the group and it seems they're not offering any account related support (not really sure what's happening behind the scene), but it does seem suspicious. Looks like it's just another crypto discussion group but focused on Coinbase. As cissrawk mentioned, it's very likely this group is used to spread false or rumors about Coinbase. Several previous admin/support were deleted too.

Most groups on telegram are actually legit and there are some that came from popular sites but fake groups or unoficial groups arent really mean to scam inoscent people . they are built to discuss the said site and also the blockchain giveway that you are talking about is not a scam but its 100% legit if you will only login on your wallet , you will see that they are airdropping stellar lumens  .

I think he wanted to say that a few weeks ago a fake group was imitating Blockchain XLM airdrop program, which is why we should be more careful because it's fake and it aims to steal your money.

Anyway, long story short, I nearly fell to this kind of scam when I wanted to join an ICO. The fake channel uses the exact name of the ICO that I wanted to join, and oddly enough there is no mention about it on the official group even though the members on the fake channel reach thousands of people. I wonder if there are more cases like this.
